Saw our ad and said he has buyers but it would cost $200. He's called several times. I know it's a scam

Recorded message saying that he wants to sell my car that was listed on Craigslist. The car was sold weeks before but I still continue to get calls offering to help me sell the car.

This guy has been calling almost every day for going on two weeks. He saw my Craigslist ad for a car that we sold in 2 days and the ad has been removed. Despite telling him that, he is still calling wanting $200 for posting the car on his site. Sad thing is, he probably manages to wrangle money from some people by intimidation.

Sends voicemail directly rather than actually calling the phone wanting me to call and sell my vehicle. Number scraped from CL.

I listed a 'motorcycle' on craigs list and someone proclaiming to be an interested buyer got me to buy a history on the bike. I did, and then found out that is was a scam to get a kickback from the history company . Now this one has called me 3 times with ID blocked but would leave me a voice saying he is Payton and can help me sell my vehicle.

Calls have been coming almost daily for about a week. Phone never rings, call goes straight to voice mail, which I understand is achieved through the use of an app.

Payton called offering to help sell.my vehicle that I have listed on Craig's list, even though I selected 'do not contact me with other offers or solicitations.' First time he said to call 888-941-6515. Then 2 days later, and again 2 days after that, said to call 540-904-4838.

Calls me numerous times a day from an unknown and no way to call back as it doesn't give me the option. Three times he has left a message with a number that apparently belongs to Once Driven. I can only block the number from the voicemail but not his 'unknown' or 'private' and it's getting very frustrating! My vehicle is NOT for sell and I'm not stupid enough to give him money!!!

just asking for callback, and sounds fairly similar to real person. I would be worried people would call back cause of the urgency in his voice and they wouldn't know how to handle it

No real decription in the message he left, but other messages from 'Peyton' have been offering services to sell a car. Unsolicited contact with no past business transactions.

I have gotten at least 3 calls from this number, stating his name is Payton. He wants to list our vehicle and it is only going to cost a little bit. He's getting pushy saying 'he's sorry that he keeps bugging me about this but he can really help.' What part of 'cash only, no dealers, no unsolicited callers' does he not understand?

This JERK Arron has been calling my phone for weeks. I have never answered his call He got my number off of Craigslist and wants me to list my item for sale with them for 200.00. Item sold last week and he is still calling. Some one needs to tell Arron to pound salt. Does he think people are stupid. This guy from some automotive resale website called me 3 times, finally I called back and was on call waiting, I finally gave up. I got my phone bill and it was 5 bucks in long distance charges.

Update: The phone calls continue on a daily basis. Peyton leaves messages somehow without the phone even ringing and notes I should call him back at 540-904-4838. If you perform a reverse phone lookup on white pages it shows the number as belonging to an Amanda C Sell (likely fake name) and then provides an address in Florida. If you google the address it takes you to a house that is for sale in Florida. Sounds like a pretty legitimate business to me...enter sarcasm!!!
