This # called me FIVE times in a row. I actually didn't know my phone was ringing but it was on October 10th starting at 6 54.

I am in Australia, and I received a call from this number to my business number. Was a prank call, which we have been receive so many of lately

Called my little 85 year mother n law and said he had a medical emergency and needed money for surgery. We think they got the name to use off of the funeral home registry.....hope whomever is doing this gets exactly what they deserve!!!!

Caller said he was my nephew and wanted me to guess which one. Said he had just been picked up in Mexico for weed in a cab that wasn't his and was looking for some help, i.e. money. After I quickly 'exposed' him, I said I'd call the authorities and he just laughed saying he's been doing this for a long time and nobody will ever catch him. What an A-hole!

if you're calling it would help if you could identify yourself. I usually don't answer these strange numbers but was expecting a phone call from out of state about a job.This number called twice, every time I was late to pick-up but they don't leave a message.I think people that don't leave messages are probably not very serious.

Said, he will pay my bill for one year. I can go online and check that bill is already paid. After that I should send him half of the money. I asked his contact number, so I can verify it. He gave me a bogus number. which is also a scam numbr. I told him to call me back later. He did not call.

I receivd 2 calls tonight. 'He' talked like he was having a personal conversatin with me but never gave his name or any other identifying info. It went to V/M but was still disturbing to hear a male voice talking about personal things and I have no idea who it is. Google needs to put a stop to this NOW. This is nothing but harrassment.

this is indeed google's number. It recently added a feature to gmail where you can make calls from your PC. Well guess what? Scammers got on to the idea and often use it to make fraudulent calls. If in doubt : block the number. Whoever called you from gmail will pick up their real phone if they really want to reach you..

This number came up on caller ID, but it was actually someone I know and this is not their number? Connection sounded very distant, we hung up and I redialed the callers real number. Why would this number come up when it was from someone else?

OMG I got the call today and it was President Obama, he said he was calling to wish me happy birthday. WTF I know, very strange but it's true. I didn't even know what to say, I said thank you and he said well I hope you have a great one, and said he had to go. I know, no one believes me I wish I would have recorded the call.

Google Voice number. Friend of mine called me via Google Voice using this number.

Google have the program for people who really needed. However, you need to stop people from scam other people off..they call a restaurant where I work and order a lot of foods 100s of dollars but never picked up.. seriously, there are people out there work hard for their money, anand i can believe some low life, mother f* would do that to people. .

Call did sound like someone I know but with a muffled voice. Said he'd gone to Escondido for 'Steve's' funeral. Was riding with new friends, got stopped for speeding, cops found cocaine in friend's car. Could I send $2500 bail. I told him to call his mother, he said he was too embarrassed. When I called my friend later, he knew nothing about the call, a scam, trying to get money out of me. Clever delivery on phone..he baited me to ask the right questions

My wife and I have received 3 or 4 calls from this number. Always a male caller who begins with 'Hello Granddad or Grandmother.' Told my wife he had been in an accident and needed money. She hung up. I have answered the other times and just hand up when I hear 'Hello Granddad.'

I almost never answer ANY # I don't recognize, but they never leave a message. When I have answered, no one speaks.

knew my daughters first and last name. the first time they called from another number 514-898-2936.said she had called regarding a trojan condom breaking while being used, now they are calling her from this new 760 number. gotta stop the cycle.

Caller claimed to be my oldest grandson. I said 'I don't recognize your voice, what is your name.' Again he said I'm your oldest grandson. I hung up on him.

this number keeps calling me and my friend during late hours saying he sees us and he's not safe . To me , the voice sounds like an ignorant white boy trying to imitate a scary voice . To my friend , he said it sounds like a possesed person . He told the caller that he is going to press charges against the person , and the caller said that if he does , it will be bad consequences . Someone using Google voice called my mother-in-law trying to scam her into thinking it was my son and that he needed $1000 to get out of a Mexican jail in Mexico City. He's not in Mexico and didn't win tickets to go there as they claimed. This Google service has good intentions but fraudsters and scam artists are using it to hide their identity.

I got a call from this number and it was a IVR. IT gave me a Passcode and disconnected. After that I am getting dirty messages on my phone from some bulk message sending website.

I wonder what controls Gmail has in place to stop this sort of thing?I tried it and it works. I can call my cell phone from my computer. I had to hook up a USB microphone to the computer and select it as the default recording device. Free calls to US telephones. Nice low rates to other countries.

this person called his self Peter he called regartding payday loans. i believe this is fraudulent.im reporting it to the police.and my bank he sounded real until he called back a second time and forgot or didnt relieze i wrote down all info.

Got a call from this phone number at my work of all places. Keeps calling too. I'm too busy to be dealing with someone who obviously has no life. That line is for business calls only and if its held up by some looser no customer will be able to get a hold of me...and neither will the other office in the company I work for. This person really needs to get a hobby and stop messing around. No friend of mine would do this when they have my cell # and can call that or text me there.

Passed himself off as my grandson (after I stupidly fed him that information). Similiar Sandra Nelson's call. Had been to a friend's funeral, etc. & needed $2800.00 bond. Finally wised up when some things did not fall into place, Told him i did not have that kind of money & needed to talk to his mother. Also checked with PD where he was supposedy being held. No records.

I received a call from this number at the office, and I work for a cellphone company. The person who called said he was Joshua Smith, and wanted to activate a phone with us. Then I told him he had to come in person to prove his identity with papers and he was bugging me to send phones by the post. Not a good Idea from google, for my personnal opinion.

It is Google. I just phoned my cell. I heard the person on my cell only after I turned up my laptop volume to the max. He heard me, no problem.Caution, those using it, it says 'free for 2010' but when you look at the keypad, it has 10 cents there. I think they may be trying it for free and then start the 10 cents fee for 2011.

Unwanted prank calls

It's from Google Voice / Gmail Voice Chat service, when the caller does not have an inbound number with Google Voice.

It is cool but you can only hear the person you are calling, they cannot hear you! What is wrong with this?

IT WORKS BUT I HAVE NOT TAKEN A PERSONAL NUMBER AS OF YET.GOOGLE WILL GIVE YOU ONE ACCORDING TO YOUR AREA OR ZIP CODE.MY MAGIC JACK AND HOME PHONES BOTH RING .I JUST HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO GET MY NEW GOOGLE PHONE TO HOOK UP.
