Calling to collect money from missing your card payment

Caller ID said Alpharetta 770-283-1537. When the call was answered it was a recording saying to call800-641-4526 (Syncrony Bank) or go to some website. We are a business and do not have an account with Walmart.. Maybe one of our employees gave this number as the number where they could be reached. Who knows? BLOCKED!When I looked up the bank's web site , this is the number they show as a contact to manage your Walmart credit card account - 1-877-294-7880

This number has been calling me 4-5 times a day since Thursday. I answered twice purely out of curiosity, the first time I said hello, then it said please hold while we transfer your call. The second time I answered a man with a heavy English accent answers and said 'Hello, Hello, Hello, are you there?' I didn't say anything back to him so eventually he just hung up. I also blocked him this morning after being woke up to the phone ringing.

Walmart does not collect debts. Once you charge something, the bank that issued the card pays them and then assumes the debt. You should already know this since it was completely explained in the paperwork you received with the card, you know the paperwork you never read. Unless you live in one of five enlightened states, original creditors are not bound by any collection laws.

If it's Walmart telling me I have a late payment, fine, but they can do that with a couple calls. They DO NOT need to spam call me 65 times in a row, to where I can't use my phone. I had to put it on silent and take a nap. NO company should have the right to do that. 65 times in a row? Come on, that's ridiculous.

Calls about 3-4 times a day. When answered it clicks off. When I don't answer, the caller leaves no message.

I do not answer calls from unknown numbers. They did leave a message saying that they were from Amazon lap top jobs looking for people to work for them. I checked it out on several sites such as snopes and this is a scam.

It sounds like a legitimate credit card debt collector call except for the weird delay in pickup when you answer however, they don't seem satisfied with me wanting to pay online and not through them. So obviously it's for profit on their side and therefore, seems to me, a scam

Calls my office line 4-5x a day, I have answered a couple of times due to it coming in on a work line. I work in law enforcement so I greet accordingly and the line always goes dead. I now recognize the number when it comes up on caller ID so I just don't answer it anymore.

It says Alpharetta on my caller id but when i answer they say nothing to me.
