Dell is enabling FINANCIAL TERRORISM of their customers. To this date, although Dell is aware of criminal Indian scammers using their customer database, they still haven't done anything to stop this scam that has been going on for many years and new customers are still getting scammed. Their tech customer support dept. is still outsourced to India and they have done nothing to secure their customers' information.estate

States my computer was infected with virus and he has my computer id and email address.

They call me several times a day. I never answer. I do have dell and it is confusing and irritating. I have called the real DELL and they say it isn't them. I have also reported it at dontocall.gov

Repeating calls no one there

Alex 'the Indian' called today. In fact, he's called twice this week and once last week. He always asks for 'Andrea.' Usually, I just hang up but sometimes I'm in a 'mood' and like to bust their b----s. I asked him what the :::bleep::: he wanted with Andrea and he said I need to talk to her. I said, Well, Andrea died.' :::silence::: Then he said, 'she died?', she owes me money. I replied 'tough s---t and don't call here again because this phone is tapped. He hung up!!

Called Dell for tech support. Was asked for Name, address, phone #, email. This info already on acct. Couldn't fix a simple problem and insisted I call him back personally, not the main Dell number. He sent me an email to make sure I only contact him. Later his supervisor? called back from a phone number that said Seattle Times, not Dell. Phone numbers are 800 624 9896, 800 456 3355, 800 782 4362, 877 717 3355, 800 542 0820.

third call in a week. Told them to stop calling.

Claim to be Dell Tech Support regarding infected files but clearly a scam (since the info they had about the computer was clearly BS - decided to play along with them for a while.)

Claimed my computer was infected, indicated he was from Dell Support.

Indian male claiming to work for Dell contacted me and stated my computer was full of viruses and malware. I asked him to stop calling and hung up immediately.

Called me to say I had viruses on my computer and to check for them. Told me I needed software for $579 to 'clean' my computer. Total scam and they need to stop calling me!

Multiple calls from this number, usually sounds like a call center and an Indian/South Asian voice. Individual claimed he was calling from Dell regarding a dell computer we have, even giving the serial number. We instructed the caller to place us on their do not call list. and they hung up.

This number has called me 5 times in less than an hour!! I didn't pick up but let it go to my answering machine. No message left. Caller ID said 'Not Provided.'

They got very angry when we did not deal with them. We told them we were going to report them. They call all the time.

I have been receiving numerous daily calls from this number for several weeks both on my land line and cellphone. When I answered, the person with an Indian accent asked for me or my husband by name and said he was from Dell and that my computer had a virus. I told him my computer was fine but that did not stop the calls.

Another phone number the scammers with Indian accent call from. Block them and they will still call from other numbers claiming to be from Dell and needing to fix your computer.

Someone at this number tried calling me 4 times yesterday afternoon. Today when I tried looking up on whitepages.com it is supposed to be a legit cell number, but WP wants me to sign up for their service to get the answer!I must be on the top of the list for recycling this number, because I could have sworn I looked it up as a scam number a few months ago.

Indian accent, very broken connection, claimed my Dell computer had a virus and he could talk me through how to fix it on my end.Knew my service tag number.

I have received the same type of call...2x today...saying he is from Dell and wants to fix my computer and to stay on the phone so he can fix it remotely. I told him to stop calling me and I KNEW Dell did not Call anyone, and I was reporting him to Dell and his phone number....this number! Stop these guys!

Same scam as listed by many others. What is the point of filing a complaint on this website? Nobody, including this website is doing anything about it! If someone could tell me exactly where these calls are originating from and who is making these calls I would be happy to go there and F them up for good!Seriously, don't any of our governments or law enforcement have the technology to trace these guy down and shut them down for good?

Mark tried to have me download software to access my computer. He told me that he worked for Dell but screwed up when I went to a site he suggested (he was not in control of my computer) and started using 'Our' when he referred to this site. The site was 'BestComputerNerds.com'.

Scammer with Indian accent claiming to be with Dell support, asked for access to my computer claiming to be. They will ask for access to your computer claiming your Dell has been infected and that it is downloading unwanted content to your computer.

A caller with a thick Indian accent in a noisy room, claiming to be from Dell Technical Support, reports 'error messages' from my computer. He gives correct Service Tag number for a recently-serviced Dell laptop (now functioning perfectly), then asks if I want paid service to fix my computer. After I state that his call is suspicious and that I plan to contact law enforcement, the caller quickly hangs up.

A very western name for a middle eastern accent, who claims to be with Dell hoping to help me with a computer problem I did not have or request help for. Multiple calls in the same day

Dell computer scam.

They told me to go to a position on my PC. This location showed some warning, errors etc. They said that I need to delete the warnings and then go to web site www.fff.re/dawu to connect to the Dell server and they would fix the problem for me. I told them that I need to call my Dell contact first to confirm the web site. That ended the call....I get this type of call on a regular basis. Either telling me they are from Dell or from Microsoft..

Said they are from Dell technical support and that my computer is giving warning messages. I told them what I thought and did not delete my explitive before I hung up on them.

Strong male Indian accent claiming to be Dell. Had my purchase information, service code and last service contact information, including the precise nature of the problem I had. Shocked about the details. When I said I would call back to confirm, the scammer hung up immediately. Calling Dell right now to deal with the fact they have ALL of my tech support information.

Same as others - posing as a Dell representative stating my computer was sending messages about a virus. I asked for a phone number to call him back. He gave me 206-356-0531 and told me this phone was in Miami Florida.I told him he was a scammer and hung up.

Caller ID shows Dell but it is not REALLY Dell. It is part of an elaborate scam. The caller purports to be from Dell Technical Service and is bogus. Do NOT engage with them.
