I got a call from this number stating why I was getting a package from US and what was the dollar value for each item . I spoke to UPS they have not clue who called or why I was called

I got call from this number saying that it is from UPS china ( it was in English) further some message in Chinese language. Don't know what's that ????

This person called my phone and my wifes phone. This is someone spoofing the caller ID (to appear as UPS to call you and skip trace you. Most likely it is a debt collector trying to find out your updated address information by telling you, you have a package but need an updated address to deliver the package.

I'm a small business owner. The phone number is a legitimate UPS number. but that doesn't mean that the caller id information is legitimate (see cindy's post). I called UPS back, they asked if I was expecting a package (I was not), and did a tracking search for my address, and found someone else's order (already delivered) at my address but a different suite number from mine. i said that sounded legitimate, though it had nothing to do with me; and I asked the rep Titus Wortham if UPS places outgoing solicitation phone calls to businesses. The rep (who was very polite and professional) researched and said 'no'. The rep did not know why I would be called, either.So I followed Cindy's instructions to report the call. The rep issued a message to his supervisor, to call me back within the hour.

Received a call from 800-742-5877 even tough I'm on the US and FL 'Do Not Call' lists. Caller hung up upon answering....

Got a call saying my package to China cannot be delivered. I have never send any package. The phone number is UPS, but I heard a constant signal noise in the background. Wonder if they somehow hacked in?

called UPS at 800-742-5877 and reported to them that someone is using their CID to call ppl's homes numerous times per day. They in turn will report this to the UPS Security Department as fradulent actions so anyone receiving calls from this number are suggested to do the same. UPS was extremely nice and thankful for having this reported to them.

Answer phone, and immediately the caller hangs up. Search of number indicates a 'financial service', a PaineWebber office, and several UPS shipping offices across the Nation. Very strange. Odds are it is the 'financial service' group. Pure junk.

Received a call from this number yesterday. The person identified himself as being from UPS and was attempting to drum up shipping business. Needless to say, I hung up right away.

The caller id shows UNKNOWN NAME when I get calls from 800-742-5877.

800-742-5877 appears on my caller ID at least 5-6 times each day. Sometimes it shows up asUPS and sometimes it shows as 'out of area'. I called UPS and they cannot figure it out. Hey UPS how about calling the phone company and letting them know someone else is scamming your phone number, ya think?

got the call again at work...guess they don't like the greeting I use to answer the phone since they hung up. Unfortunately we don't have caller id here and I have to answer the phone. Wish I could zap them when I *69 them. :o)

When I answered the man asked, 'Do you guys accept credit cards?' Seems they are selling a credit card service for new businesses. Told them I wasn't interested in their service and hung up. Total pain these calls are.
