Received a call from an Amanda about student loan forgiveness after I told her I have an active account she said disregard the call and hung up. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

Called saying I owed money for student loans and payments would begin again soon. Threatened to garnish my wages. Offered to set me up with student loan forgiveness program. I don't have student loans that I'm aware of. Lady had an American accent.

I received the same call on 10/20/20 as the 10/15/20 caller did: A woman named Amanda left a message stating that she was from the Federal Student Loan Assistance and that I only had 90 days before I faced possible wage garnishments and tax offsets. Its funny when these people call me and I've never had a student loan, Then try to convince me that someone is using my identity... LOSER GET A JOB

This number is a scam. I know the name and number of the individual who will contact me about my student loans, And it is not this person and she never stated who she is working on behalf of. My student loans are being handled by an outside company and NOT the Department of Education. The Department of Education has transferred my account to a third party because it was put in collections, So this person calling is a SCAM!

They left a message saying that my student loan payments would pick back up again, Possibly with wage garnishments. I don't have student loans.

I called this number 3 times to inquire about the loan they were talking about. First attempt they immediately hung up. Second attempt they said that they couldn’t assist me until I new my loan amount. Third time when I inquired how to find how much I owed, They hung up on me.

They say they're from he Federal Student Loan Assistance Center and want to help you enroll in income-based repayment before you get wage garnishments or tax offsets. Nice try. I'm already enrolled in PSLF.
