A FRAUDULENT debt collector!

It says it is RADIUS calling about a personal issue. Don't know what it's about.

Caller with Pakistani accent wanted to verify my address and last four digits of my ss# without explaining what the call was about. I hung up. He said call was being recorded.

A man with an Indian accent said he was calling about a 'personal issue'. I told him I was at work. I asked him who was calling and he said it would 'take some time to explain' and could he call me back after 5:00? Looks like this is another scam from the comments.

You are very welcome. I think that is another way to shut these crooks down. Simply refuse to identify yourself and they cannot discuss the debt. It only makes sense since they want personal information that would put you at risk for identity theft. The alternative would be for them to recite what they have and then you could tell them whether it is correct or not. One of the huge flaws in the FDCPA is that they were not required to send the letter out first.

Thanks for taking the time to list all the info. I asked them to mail me the alleged debt in writing and the guy didn't want to do that, yet wouldn't tell me what it was regarding unless I gave him personal info confirming I am who I say I am...I assured him I was and didn't have to give him any personal info- just tell me what it's regarding. This went on for several minutes finally I told him this was taking entirely too long and to mail the info. I have yet to receive it.

Message said your 'bank account, you have not taken action... an IRS representative will take your call...'

Was a live person with maybe East Indian accent, asking If they had reached (my name) ... and so I hung up immediately, because I knew this was a scam of some sort.

Calls everyday leaving messages that they are with the health department about a recent covid test

Received two calls, two different days, around the same time of day for each. I did not answer either of them, as per my experience with a 800-type number that comes in without any caller ID. In previous days, there were 'toll free' numbers that came through with an ID of 'SSI'. Those, too, went unanswered. All numbers are blocked.

Debt collector.You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or 'not me' letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it. They called fir me by name- I answered and asked what this was about she said as soon as I gave her my birthdate and address she would tell me- I think not
