Claiming to be Allegacy Fraud Prevention Services, wanting me to verify my zip code so we can go over recent transactions on my card. My bank wouldn't be using a voice alteration device, nor calling from a toll free number like that. Fourth time I have been called and left on hold for 6 minutes.

robot saying a debit card had charges on it and wanted me to call back. Left a reference number to call back with. I would think a legitimate call if fraud is detected would be by a real person!!!!!

He said with our excellent payment history we qualify for a lower interest rate on our credit cards. I have bought into many scams so I decided to call our bank and ask. The guy gave me the call back number of 855-822-9944. The bank said this is absolutely a scam. Never ever do anything involving money with a cold call like this. I hope this helps save someone else from being scammed! It's a sad world we live in sometimes!

Texted me to inform me a transaction had been made on a card I don't own for Walmart. Requested a reply of yes or no. Last I checked they don't text about fraudulent purchases.

Got several automated calls over a long weekend. Suspicious, I called Allegacy FCU customer service using the number on the back of their card and confirmed that the original calls were valid. They were making a timely alert to me about an unsolicited magazine renewal. Good catch!

This is not a complaint!!! This is the actual number for Allegacy Fraud Prevention and they saved me several charges that weren't mine on my debit card. I too was unsure so I called the actual Allegacy Bank number and they verified it was their fraud number and they had blocked some charges from another state and country from my card. So if they call you it's probably a good idea to talk to them or call Allegacy.
