This number is legit. Was very dubious when they asked for card info. Hung up and called number on the credit card. Account was overdue. CSR checked and this is the number of their past due department.

I actually thought the same. I called Citibank’s 800# and gave them that # and they verified it’s from their outgoing department for accounts that missed scheduled payments.

Received four calls from this number today. They left 2 messages, both with robotic voices. The first was claiming to be from Microsoft telling me there's a virus on my computer. The other message claimed they were calling from citibank and specified me by first and last name! Both robotic voices, both from the same number: 866.535.9492. [***]. Blocked!
