Call from Ashley about a student loan. Phone number called from 866.791 9527.Some type of scam.

Thankfully I checked here first. Ashley White gave me a call, within actually a few weeks of me applying for Student Loans so I thought this might be legit. After cross referencing this site, the reference number was exactly the same closing me into the fact that this is just one big scam.

Ashley White called in reference to my student loan and that she needs to discuss my repayment options. I do have a student loan that is coming due so this caught my attention. I was not aware the government made such phone calls so I googled the call back number, 866-791-9527, and found other considered people. She gave me reference #085569. Watch out!

Student Loan scam, they left a message from Ashley White with same ref number I've seen in other comments.

Caller Id: 712-255-7597. 'Yes this is Ashley and I'm calling in reference to your student loan. I needed to discuss with your repayment options with some new changes that have taken place. If you could please be sure to call me back my number is 866-791-9527 and your reference number is.... please be sure to provide this number when you call back.' I called my student loan provider directly to see if there were indeed any changes to my repayments and they said there were none. This is either a third party or a scam. Either way, I'm reporting it to the BBB and FTC!

I too have received a call from 'Ashley White' sounds like a person but I believe it is probably a recording. Same id number as others were told to reference. Although I have student loans I don't use the number they called on and not sure when exactly the call came in. I check messages once a week and the call log every few days as we literally don't use this number for anything important.

Caller left message said in a pleasant personal convincing voice'this is Ashley White in calling aboutyour student loan the have been some changes etc. My son's loan was paid. My son is deceased. This was very upsetting. Call came from Iowa . The state he attended college in. Brooke my heart. I hate scammers. How do they live with themselves!!!

They left a message that I owe for a student loan and I never attended college in America!

Received the same call from 'Ashley White' saying that they had new information about a student loan and gave a reference number to refer to when I called back. The original number was from Oklahoma and not an 800 number. My son also has a FedLoan for college and they will NOT call-only secure emails from their direct site or mail
