Called to report unusual activity on my debit card. Like a fool, I gave the last 4 digits of my SSN, since I had just authorized a rental car and so the call seemed justified. Then a human being came on the line and I questioned the authenticity of the call and she gave me a case number to give my CU. Being Sunday, I need to wait until tomorrow to report it to my credit union. In the meantime, I have locked my debit card.

They called my work number saying 'Suspicious activity on your card'. I called my bank instead and they said 'nope, nothing is wrong.' Total scam.

I received the same message at 8:45 am on a Sunday! Not going to call back, but will call my bank at the number I know and check it out. Be careful out there.

If anyone is left in the USA smart enough to ask their credit union, you'll find that CU Cardsecurity is a legitimate representative on your credit union. We too questioned/suspected it was a pfishing scam but alas, it is NOT a scam. It is part of the CU's card transaction processor looking at potential fraudulent TX.

Have received 2 calls yesterday (10/12/19) and one today (10/13/19), saying that it's Premier Members (my credit union), and that they are inquiring about my Debit Card ending with the last 4 digits, which may have been compromised and to return their call. I have blocked the number and have sent a message to Premier Members.

Update: 877-276-3721 is associated with fraud protection for CFCU. It is not a scammer calling. They are trying to reach you regarding a probable unauthorized transaction on your debit card. Contact the credit union asap.

credit card fraud scam

I got a call and email from these a******s and I google searched the number before doing anything as I saw it was connected to phishing scams. I reported it to the credit union.

Claimed to be calling from my credit union, asked for me and cited the last 4 digits of my ATM card. Did not call back. Used # to call on back of card and reported incident to the credit union fraud department. The scam # wanted to discuss some charges recently posted to account. Knew better than to call # on answering machine!

called my cell. I declined and then called number. It asked if I was **********, totally s******g up pronunciation of my name, which is very easy and said it was about possible fraud charges on my debit.Now blocked caller.

Received a recorded phone call from 877-276-3721 this morning on my cell asking to be contacted regarding 'recent activity' on our debit card at CFCU. The scammers actually have the last 4 digits of our debit card. This phone call has been reported to our credit union.

Asked me to call them back to discuss some recent questionable charges on my debit card. I did not call them back - I called my CU customer service number.
