An online scam. Wanted entire acct or entire social rather than the last 4.got into an argument when I questioned him

Phishing call - asked me a bunch of questions about my Best Buy credit card acct - I don’t have an account ...

Another Scam number. Called me claiming to be Best Buy warning me of fraudulent charge on my card. Seemed somewhat legit, but eventually got around to asking me for my full SSN.

! I received the very same message but it was for somebody I do not know . I got suspicious because the message said to have my full account number ready when I call this number back and it gave me a reference number that was four digits . I called the customer service number on the back of my Best Buy card and explained what had happened and that I wanted to verify if the number listed above was legitimate and he said to disregard because it was not from Best Buy .

stated they were questioning activity on my account, i havent used my card. i didnt have an account number and stupidly gave my ss #. now what do i do?

This number was verified by citibank card services which is fraud, identity theft solution phone number, trying to stop Best buy card for identity theft

This is a legitimate number for Citibank cards--in my case, Best Buy. I did what is often recommended and called the customer service number on the back of my card, just to be sure, and they confirmed it was legit. I live overseas and was trying to buy airline tickets from where I'm living to another country and they were concerned that it was a fraudulent charge.

They called and left a message with this number as the call back number. They said that a Best Buy account had been opened with my name and social security number. Wanted me to give them my SS number and I refused. They recommended that I call the credit Bureau and report the fraudulent credit card.

I received a letter in the mail about possible suspicious activity and wanting me to call 877-560-1088 immediately..... I don't even have a Best Buy credit card.... SCAM. I am calling the authorities

This is a legit number. I applied for a Best Buy card online and purchased a TV on their website. Shortly after I received a message asking me to call this number. It's just a fraud prevention line for Best Buy / Citi card.

I got a message to call this number about a problem with my Best Buy account. I don't have one. I called the number. They wanted an account number that I didn't have. They asked for my SSN, which I would not give out. They then asked for my phone number, which they obviously had because the called me. I did not provide them with any info and terminated the call. I called Best Buy and the person I spoke with said they did not see this number on their phone list. I suspect this is a phishing platform and will be reporting them to my state's consumer fraud agency (not that I expect much).

I also just received a call regarding my best buy visa-I called the number on the back of the card instead and it is legit-someone tried to access my card information and they flagged it

received a call from both 210-677-1346 on both of my cell phones. They did their research. I don't have a Best Buy account and so they asked me for my last 4 of my social and/or home address which to both I said I don't trust u. This seems to be a scam.

I called Best Buy and they don't have this number listed. As far as I can tell, it's a phishing expedition on someone's part.

They asked for my SS number but I told them I didn't feel comfortable giving that information out to someone that I didn't even know who it was and she told me that my account would be closed. They were definitely a scam.

The guy had hard time verify account ownership since I just opened account at Best Buy today and don't have credit card number then proceeded to ask for the password of some other account I own so I hanged up...Made him repeat if he needed password and he said yes...Anyway it sounded pretty fishy to me, and why verify transaction if you just opened account with them and made purchase?

Best Buy was reporting fraud charges on my BestBuy account. I don't have one. I hung up.
