This is a legitimate Chase number that verifies CC applications. My SSN was stolen and so far there was applications from 3 credit card companies, including Chase. I have Fraud Alerts on my credit bureau accounts, so they are required to call my personal number to verify any account activity. So, be cautious thinking this is spam. It could be someone trying to obtain a CC using your name.

I received a call from the 888 number and had a bad connection, they tried to call back again with a bad connection. So I contacted the number off the Chase website and they verified it was Chase number from their privacy center. But looking online, it seems like maybe they can spoof that number so it looks like a legit chase number, but likely a scam

Said he was from Chase bank but had a heavy accent and when questioned admitted to being 'overseas'. Had my phone number and email, and I did open an account at Chase recently. Said he was my personal banker. Yeah right, like I'm going to give him info and money in Nigeria or wherever the h**l he was calling from. If this was from Chase they are the wort bank ever. If not, then they gave my info away. Either way, stay away.

Very good scam .. the unsuspecting would fall for it.Chase Bank calling to confirm a transfer. The caller ID was the tip off ... 'Jpmorgan Chase' Should have been 'JPMorgan Chase'. Moreover, Chase would never call to confirm. And three, the amount of the transfer was wrong. The scammer sends a text code for you to repeat back put put you at ease ....That is very clever. BEWARE!!! Heavy accent ....

I just got one big amount of money transferring to my one of merchandise, and just 1 hour later the scam call from a cheerful woman on this number claimed she was from chase bank and needed to verify some of my information like my address. And I quicky checked my personal profile in bank record it was all updated already, so I suspect it was scam number and check online found here

I moved to Canada almost 20 years ago. My family lives in the US. Someone called from this number claiming to be from Chase looking for someone. The name he gave me was my fathers name. I have a different last name. I've never had any affiliation with Chase in any capacity. I highly doubt my Dad has either. I've never even used him or his last name as a security question answer.I said I didn't know who that was and he hung up and I ended up here.

The real Chase representative said that there was no activity on the card and no alerts on any of my accounts.I called 888-373-1969 back and listened to a very good imitation of Chase's automated system that only provided an option to be removed from telemarketing calls. It asked me to press one, which I did not do. The call eventually ended. A few minutes later, I received the FOUR additional attempts from 888-373-1969. This is TELLTALE evidence that this is a scam telemarketing call. My callback confirmed that my number was real and justified their repeated attempts to reach me.If you call back, it will sound a lot like Chase. Don't call this number. Call a number on the back of your card and find out if there is anything to be concerned about. 99% that this is NOT Chase.

We have been contacted by individuals utilizing this number on at least 4 separate occasions over the past week. Each time they state they are from Chase and need us to supply them with documents after our number has been verified. Our Executive Director contacted Chase this morning and a few minutes ago they responded verifying that this number (888-373-1969), is not in any way associated with Chase Bank. It is a scam.

I applied for a Chase Credit Card... and the page said they needed to review my info. A few days later this number calls and I pick up. They say it's Chase Verification. Asked a few questions, answered them, was put on hold for 1-2 minutes and she said I was approved. Checked online and saw my new credit card on my online account.

A woman called me to verify a transaction on my account. She provided some transaction information that was correct and she got me off guard! Her English was good. I am glad I found this site. I would never talk to a stranger again!

I called the department and they sent me to a person who called me back on this number which I thought was sketch but she knew my past purchases and cancelled the card and I saw on my chase app that a new card was added.
