Received a call today from this number regarding my PlusNet account. I refused to answer the Data Protection questions as I was not sure they were genuine. Was told they would send me a mail from PlusNet and I could call customer services to confirm. Did receive genuine mail from PlusNet.

Called my landline today 24/03/17 at 14.19. I wasn't available and they did not leave a message on the answerphone. After reading others comments I wonder whether to block it. Plusnet phone number is 01709...... so different!

Sky put broadband price up yesterday , so i priced up plusnet online and since then this number is ringing me with no answer when i pick up.NOBODY has my number. Plusnet has an insider or has been hacked , it's the only explanation.

this number keeps phoning my landline, they say they are Plusnet but I'm not convinced they are by the questions they were asking wanting bank details!!!!

I just did a broadband quote with Plusnet and an online chat. Within 10 minutes this number called my landline. I didn't answer but I'm pretty sure it was Plusnet.

I had a call from the same number, and i spoke to a female, she asked me the same questions that you've mentioned. One of the things that bothered me, was the reception of her phone line, it was very poor, but she was a genuine Plusnet staff. I called Plusnet after her phone had cut off and straight away they told me yes it was one of their staff who called me to offer me a better upgrade package.

Didn't leave a message but did try to change to Plusnet and changed my mind

2 calls today, I didn't reach the phone before the answer phone cut in, no message was left.

Called tonight addressed me by name and wanted to check my phone number and then address, said they were Plus Net; then went to speak to his supervisor as the details weren't as shown on their records; but never came back , so I hung up.

I had a call from this number today after using the plus net website to compare charges against my current supplier of broadband. The line went dead as I picked up the phone. Being suspicious as it was not a number I recognised, I googled it and found these comments. Thank you everyone for alerting me to the probable scam.

This number left a message on my answerphone requesting I press number 1 to rectify a change in my telephone ID number. I ignored this message and deleted it.This happened to me twice over the space of 3 days.

I was considering taking out a plusnet broadband package. Did an online check on their website entering my landline number and postcode to see what speed I could expect. Been getting phone calls from this number ever since. I don't answer to numbers I don't recognise but it appears it's linked to plusnet judging by all the other replies on here. Poor show indeed.

5/11/16 said they were plusnet- wanted to check details. said I was not prepared to give information out and she said 'well we can't help you then 'and hung up. it was just the tone in here voice. No one from plusnet would have spoken like that.

Yes Plusnet..If you enter your landline no. to get a quotation on their website they automatically start to call to get you to switch.

We're with PlusNet and have just had a call from this number. Didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. I would be very suspicious if someone asked for bank details.

Received another call from this number. Checked it out with Plusnet and they confirm it is someone posing as Plusnet to get info' from you. I have now blocked the number & I suggest everyone else does or do not give them the time of day. Con merchant.

The caller said he was calling from Plusnet, asked me for my username and address, then told me my address was wrong and terminated the call. Bizzare!

Getting repeated calls from this number, they never leave a message and clear as soon as my answer machine cuts in. .................... AVOID!

Claim they are from Plusnet. Became suspicious when they started asking for bank details and I cut them off. Beware!

Today at 12. 40am... 02/01/2019.. Plusnet.. Wants to offer me a broad band deal... I am with them already with my mobile but not with my home broadband, Seems ok but I'm happy with my provider already, They will call back nearer the end of my existing deal... The lady seems ok but always beware people... I need to research the callers number again.. 01143073836
