It's not whining when you have cancelled your direct debit so you can eat and they call you each day trying to guilt trip you into paying. I paid for as long as I could but I have been made redundant recently and am thinking more about myself than others at the moment
I did donate to guide dogs but recently cancelled. I get calls from this number numerous times a day and when I answer, the phone goes 'dead' on the other end. Looking at the comments I assume it's them, but I don't know as they don't speak to me !
01189838270 is a marketing company phoning on behalf of Guide Dogs for the Blind.I have subscribed to a £20 / month direct debit for several years. the repeated calls are requesting that I increase my donation.I am so fed up by their behaviour - which I consider to be harassment - that I have lodged a formal complaint and cancelled by direct debit.I am getting calls most evenings. Enough is enough. How dare they try to guilt trip me - I am (or I was) donating as much as I can afford!
It's not a scam. It's a charity. You people are ridiculous. Feeding, housing, dogs, paying trainers, etc. Is costly. These are extroadinary animals. If you don't want to pay or increase, then don't. Stop whining..
Tues 25/04/173rd call. Said address they have is last 3 digits is *** could we confirm first three digits and first line. I said no. They could be anybody. She repeated they are calling from Guide Dogs for the Blind. I said I have no proof so no. She said ok and hung up. 13:04.
had a phone call on my mobile from this number as I was dishing up dinner about 7.They asked for my name and said it was about guide dogs.I said I didn't want to increase contributions.I did not agree to them phoning my mobile number. They caught me off guard-next time they will get a mouthful which will make them hang up.I will tell them I will cancel if they call me again.!
Just received a call from this number. Asked if I was 'name' and I said yes; phone line was crackling and the very well spoken 'young' man said he would call me back another time and quickly closed the call as I was asking 'who is this calling'. I immediately became suspicious and Googled the # and found it is clearly a scam of some sort!
It's not SCAM, they are calling on behalf of Guide Dogs for the Blind to check about your donations (I recently cancelled the direct debit, hence the call... even if I emailed to let them know about it too). They have been nice and understood the circumstances why I had to temporarily stop contributing.
