English male states from EE wanting to discuss my contract, Asked me mu full name, DOB, When asked what exactly is this about? He said “you are over spending on your bill” which I know is nonsense. I said i’m at work and dont have time to talk just now.... He replied “you dont have time to save money?” And he hung up! Haaa F off scammers.
Seems to be EE. I don't answer unknown answers. But I did use EE live chat feature last week to ask if they can do me any good sim only deals as a new customer (They couldn't) - But since then I've had 2 miss calls from this number. Likelyhood it's EE's sales team telemarketing.
It's definitely one of EE's 'Other Companies', I gave the girl a chance to see what she had to offer but they're charging more money for end of line products than it costs to buy new. Gave me no incentive to buy and by the end of the call i think she had just given up trying to sell.
Got a call from this number saying it was EE with some targeted marketing deals to help save me money, Then starts fishing for personal information, When I said who are you speaking to, They could not answer, So I put down. This seems dodgy to me I would not recommend answering this number and definitely dont give them any information.
Con! Said i could get a great deal on my mobile data for only £3. 69 extra this was a lie I called EE it’s self and they told me that that wasn’t the case it was £20 extra each month. This is not what was told to Me on the phone! EE has cancelled this for me and apologised.
Claimed to be EE, Asking alit of security questions. They told me that I upgraded then asked what handset I had. I told him he should know that. Lost patience with him and hung up. Several calls later rejecting their calls... BLOCKED!
Very convincing but the recorded background noise is on a short repeat so it is very entertaining hearing the same conversations over and over again. Believe a scammer has used a convincing EE telephone number.
Pretended he was EE. Asked about the tariff and broadband details. I told him to call me at 3pm. No call at 3pm what a surprise! I also told him I didn't give out personal information over the phone. I knew it was a scam. Don't give any information out. Block the number
Very rude and aggressive sales technique!! Started asked personal information and constantly asked me “why I didn’t want to take out a contract” when I gave a brief reason the person kept asking “but why? There must be a more specific reason”
This number has been constantly calling my phone for months now. Unfortunately today my brain wasn't quite in order and I accepted it. The guy on the other end said he was from EE (he is not) and said he had a better call deal for me, At that point brain clicked in. Safe to say the guy got a mouthful and the phone put down on him
Claimed was from EE offering a new contract for a Samsung tablet. Wanted to do 'the deal' on the phone first before sending me the email with the terms and conditions. Lost patience and hang up. Then realised the only thing I had to go by that he was from EE was that he said so.
Said he was from EE, Knew my name but wanted me to confirm it. Claimed to have good deals for family etc. Told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. Also the line was awful, Sounded like he was in a pub/bar.
Knew it was a scam after googling the number from a missed call. Had another call tonight & had the bloke on the phone for 40 minutes asking lots of questions & giving him loads of false information. Told him at the end I knew he was wasting my time & trying to scam me so I thought I would waste his time
I think this was the EE sales team as they knew stuff about my account, But were trying to sell me a discounted iPad to 'use up the data I wasn't using'. Extremely pressured sales technique. Didn't feel comfortable. Blocked the number
Called whilst I was on holiday claimed to be EE, Persistently tried to tell me about “deals and offers”, Asked me which phone I had (I lied). Told me to enjoy my holiday which is funny from a scam artist! Clearly wasn’t EE and a scam company.
Said they were from EE and started asking security questions. I said I wasn’t prepared to give the answers so they said they would send a text to confirm it was EE. I said I wasn’t interested. Be careful.
Claimed they were EE asking for all my passports. Even sent me a text confirmation when I said I didn't believe it was them. However, I recieved a text from EE earlier that day and the numbers didn't match.
This is one of EEs genuine partners - annoying, Constant calls, Never leave a message. You can see it listed on the EE website - https://ee. Co. Uk/help/help-new/offers-and-services/other/phone-calls-from-our-partners
