just had a call saying we have a technical issue regarding our wifi, and she was ringing from the technical department at Talk Talk. she gave this number as a call back and the name Edina Williams, a lady with a strong indian accent. i have no issues with any of my talk talk service and just rang the real Talk Talk to ask if they contacted me. she said definately not Talk Talk, they would always wait for the customer to contact them if the customer had an issue.

This time Ryan Williams from Sky phoned this morning, he said can I speak to hum can I speak to hum , I can speak to Mrs ..... I said that was me and he said I m Ryan Williams from Sky how r u doing and I said goodbye and put the phone down and the min later he phoned again , I let it ring and ring and ring and ring the I picked the phone up and I said hello and no answer so I put the phone down, 3day now , how many more days

Just had the same scam...chap called himself Mike Dixon from Talk Talk technical department. Hang-up! ....or play the fool until they do!

Just had a call from 'Kevin' calling from Manchester(India). Needed to check our broadband and that people were trying to hack in the computer. Asked me to turn on my computer/laptop, told him I didn't own either as we just use iPads. He asked me again to turn on my computer/laptop; at that point I asked him what did I tell him not one minute ago and a few other expletives. The number he quoted me also wasn't the number that came up on my phone display. Be careful.

A lisa Williams Indian accent wasn't a bit plesent when I told her I could not understand her.Told her that I had been up 24hours and can't be dealing with this now. Told me suit my self and hung up lol

Yes, I've just had the same conversation with a Mr Alexander Rawlinson, from talk talk with a very strong Indian accent , telling me someone been trying to hack into my computer and he was going to show me how to stop it, the usual rubbish,From 01518080773 WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET SOMETHING DONE TO CLOSE DOWN THESE SCAMMERS

This is a scam - someone saying there is a router problem and you need to download software to correct it. It is NOT TalkTalk or Sky or anybody legitimate. HANG UP. This is the number they gave me but not the number they called from. When I was called he said his name was Alan. Don't fall for it!!!

Heavy Indian accent with call centre noise in background. Told me his name was Peter Jones from Talk Talk and I needed to put my computer on to check broadband speed. I didn't need telling how bad broadband speed was from Talk Talk!

Had similar call today from script reading scammer. I just fight back by playing along with my own technical questions that their script can't answer until they give up and hang up. Have they no conscience?

Had a call today from Talk Talk?? saying error messages had been seen on my router, by a lady with a very thick Indian accent. I said it wasn't a good time and this is the number she gave me to call back on, which is a Liverpool number.But I checked where she was ringing from (01299 758468) which is supposedly in Wocestershire.Clever systems can now make calls look like genuine UK places
