Just had a call from this number about tax evasion. I was so shocked I pressed 1 and was put through to someone calling themselves Patrick Wilson. he had an African voice. He wanted my national insurance number which I did not give. I asked for his name and ID which he gave a RC47859. I have just looked and found this information about the number he gave.

Just arrived home to find a message from this number saying there is a legal case against me for tax evasion. As this is’nt true I entered the number on this site and thanks to everyone else, found that it’s a scam so have blocked this number! Many thanks to all concerned!!!

I had a call from this number last week I have not rang it back as I check this out on here first I want this number block both on my land line and mobile how do I do this I have still have the message on my answer phone do I need to keep it or can I delete it

Automated message claiming to be from HMRC regarding arrest warrant for tax evasion. Interesting thing is I have recently written to HMRC, the letter was redirected to their data collection partner (a private firm). It gives me the impression that someone in the chain is leaking information to the scammers. The really sad thing is that the scammers don't have to be terribly credible - when you see some of the correspondence HMRC send out, idiotic is what you expect!

I was on holiday, amd this number left a message saying a case and arrest warrant had been taken out against me for tax evasion. Fortunately I checked here before calling back. They lso spke the phone number in a misleading way - 016185 03299 - to try and hide the fact it was a Manchester number. That initially raised my suspicions.

I also had this number 01618503299 thanks for posting it's a scam. i did ring this number with no reply twice. do not be taken in by these recorded messages they are scams.thanks for all postings they will help alot of people.

Some people are rotten to the core if they can get kicks out of trying to frighten people to death. I too have had same recorded female voice message - and that's after another nuisance phone call this morning - perhaps they are linked. Wish people had better things to do with their lives and leave us genuinely busy people to get on with ours.

To start with 05843574408 rang my landline. I didn't answer it. So they left a message saying they were from the HMRC about a fraud case and to press one or ring there direct line on 01618503299. So from this site i have found out this is a scam. So beware and don't ring either number.

Had a female leave a message stating she was from HMRC and to call this number, this is a scam.

Just had same voicemail message as others. Thankfully I checked the number out on your site first nd see it's a scam. Thank you.
