Someone phoned my friend asking if he owned his house !! When I called back they said they do not cold call !!! This phone number had not been given to this company !! Surely this is cold calling

My wife answer call.Very polite english voice ask for Mr (my surname) I answered.He ask if i am Mr ( my surname) he said something about planing then ask me is my post code (he mention my post code)then i realise it my be a scam.So i quickly said i am ( false name given) he apologise and said he must have the wrong no.

Call received today. Unanswered. Number unknown to me so needed to check it out. Thought I would post here to let people know its still happening.

Ringing two to three times a day, never anyone there, typical call centre/scam call. Now blocked

*** Warning cold calling scam. *** These people cold called my vulnerable elderly relative and tricked him into giving key personal data. Fake financial/tax advice outfit.

This number calls about 5 times a day. I do not answer the number.

Rang out the blue , starting by saying i called them expressing an interest in estate management, so hung up, got a few more calls so ignored them, . Called calling at its worse .

Polite man, 'Sean', asked for me by name and wanted to confirm my address in order to send me info on estate planning. Said he was from T&B Estate Planners ( Thornton & Baines Estate Planners). I asked how he got my name and tel number; he said it had been passed on as I had expressed an interest in estate planning. In reality I never have, so that is an outright lie. I asked him not to call again and blocked the number.
