they have rang me twice today and twice two days ago. 4 rings then nothing. I do not answer. now they are blocked. From an automated voice machine, they 'may' try to get the receiver to phone a false BT number they give, to stop them ringing you, .......and then can somehow back-cost your call to you at premium rate or siphon off funds or information from your call, if you make it. Don't make it!from Sherlock Holmes.
Claimed to be from BT, said he knew I was no longer with BT and asked who was my current provider. I did not tell him. I have had many similar scam calls but they are getting more sophisticated as they used to just say my BT would get cut off if I didn't call back. He was polite and did not persist, just a nuisance at this point.
I don't answer numbers I don't know! But I ALWAYS REPORT THESE SCUMBAGS TO TPS AND ACTION FRAUD!Registered to Verizon (think was) London (as usually is)Everybody saying scammers claiming to be but or their partners. How are the not prosecuted? Literally hundreds reporting them on who called sitesWe're ex directory and TPS registered but frankly what's the point? They Frankly seem to possess a worryingly amount of people's details before they even call!
Dont bother they lie. The guy told me i could have a 60% discount for broadband package. I had the same package a couple of monts ago it cost£40. Now he wants me to pay £29. 99. How the hell is that 60% discount. They are a joke save yourself alot of time and dont answer.
Asked if I was Mrs.... As they got the gender wrong said no and asked who the guy was. No reply and he hung up. As BT have promised never to call me 3 times previously this would be no surprise judging by previous
