This is a SCAM number and those people on here saying it's legitimate are part of that scam. I've NEVER been with Lloyds my entire life yet just received a call from this number purporting to be from them... 100% SCAM.
Called 3 timed, Listened and put the phone down each time. The comments on here saying this is genuinely Lloyd’s Bank / MBNA etc, Are suspicious in themselves. Unlisted home number, So is likely fraud about to be perpetuated on the unsuspecting.
Scam call - left three messages from one call asking for four digit number from telephone banking to be entered, Or to press star on the keypad if I wasn't expecting the call. Gave totally incorrect numbers for the account
This is a scam, Saying they are MBNA and when you call them loads bank, They're hoping you put your pin number in, By asking for 4 digit code! I don't have an MBNA card and I don't bank with lloyds, They'll text too.
Caller pretends to be Lloyds Bank saying you need to enter code on your mobile to be able to continue using internet banking. Ignore the call and it calls back straight away another 2 times. First call was 2am.
Lloyds Bank. You initiate call by logging into your account and setting up a new recipient for payment. Bot calls telephone number on your account and you confirm new payment recipient details by keying in 4-digit number.
This number belongs to Lloyds Online Banking. When you set up a New Direct Debit or Standing Order, It calls the number on file and asks for a 4 digit code which is displayed on your computer screen where you are setting these up.
As I didn't get the call, They tried 3 times more leaving a message saying that i requested a transfer of £4921. 30 to a MBNA card with number starting with 3766XXXX ( definitely a scam). No one has ever asked for anything and these numbers are wrong. BE CAREFUL!!!
Not a scam, I wanted to pay my bank MBNA and this number called to make sure it was a safe transaction. I had to give the 4 digit number over the call then the payment went ahead. i am a genuine person, Not a fake, Not a sammer. xx
Appears Fraud, Fake calls, Pretending to be Lloyd. Banks do not make calls to invite people to register. Is OFTEL alive or dead. They should post directory numbers and a party behind of all commercial use of automated callers so that the criminals can be identified.
This number rang my mobile (hadn't previously given him my mobile number) and asked me to put in a 4 digit code number that the caller had given me. Asked me to enter a 2nd code number. The scammer then told me to turn off my mobile for 1/2 hour which I unwisely did. (My bank kept texting me but mobile was turned off). The scammer then had access to my internet banking and tried to extract £4000 from my account. Scammer pretended to be me but my bank realised he was the wrong gender.
When setting up a new payee for Lloyds online banking you are presented with a four digit number and asked what number the bank should give you an automated call on to enable you to repeat the number to verify it is you making the payment. I can only think that those reporting it as a scam have received it in error.
Genuine Lloyds Bank telephone No: Normally use to contact account holder with verifying text or number to enter when using their online app. Its cool, Used it many times when installing Lloyds app or making changes or additions to my account. Also used when changing from one mobile to another after upgrading mobile.
The comments on here saying this is genuinely Lloyd’s Bank are scammers. Can their comments not be removed by the admin? If not, Then the whole point of protecting yourself from scammers by coming to this website is useless.
100% an automated contact from Lloyd's bank if you have just done a balance transfer etc and need to input a pre sent code etc. Just used said process. In theory should only be calling you after you have accepted this method of contact via the Lloyd's banking app etc
