I have received two phone calls from this number now. The first one was yesterday which I answered and they wanted to confirm my identity but then their system crashed, they advised they would call back again yesterday but they didn't.I had concerns about the phone call so I spoke to HSBC after this and they advised me that there were no phone calls logged on their system to me and to be vigilant.

Received a call pretending to be my bank, from the fraud department when I said I would contact the bank, he recited personal information and threatened me for money.

it's a scam number, anyone on here saying it's genuine are probably part of the team trying to legitimise the fraud!!!

Received a call from a Tom Read from this number supposedly from co op bank fraud department. Said I would call the bank to make sure. They have no record of calling me.

dis nr.calling me 7 times of veek,and from my bank account is lost many,what to doo ,i dont nou.

It is HSBC for those who are saying it isn’t. HSBC have just confirmed.

Rang once.i used 1471 to find out who rang me.I was told HSBC.I double checked phone no in my contacts.it is not HSBC.Do not ring back it's a scam.Googled that no it was confirmed scam

This number rang this morning I rang back and started to get suspicious when they started to ask for personnel information. So I said I wasn’t happy and would ring the bank myself and rang hsbc from the number I have and they couldn’t see any reason why the bank was ringing me. So glad I checked it out. Be careful everyone of this number

Not hsbc at all. Be vigilant. Call the number on back of your card or letters hsbc don't call and have no record of calling me over 4 times in a day! Not HSBC

*DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NUMBER* Although its registered as a HSBC number IT IS NOT. This is a scammer wanting your bank details, they will ask you to answer security questions, hoping they match yours, then raid your account. BLOCK

I receive a call from this number 3-4 times sometimes more than that. Every time I answer there is nothing there just blank no sound or anything. It's very distressing. It stays silent for around 40 seconds and then hangs up. This is quite obviously a computer. It is harassment!

Ring me all times and days, said it was HSBC. Have heard it is and it isn't. Very annoying.

It's definitely a scam number, whoever saying it's genuine number are part of the scam team. I called the HSBC internet banking and their confirm its NOT their number.

Told me to jump of a bridge and insulted me after trying to scam me.

Bank Fraud. This number ask you to transfer money to another bank account to protect your money from fraud. Hang up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suspect this is a scammer number disguised as genuine HSBC number. A call from this number sounded exactly the same as some previous scam call which trick me into giving them the last ten digits of my credit card number and then fooled me to give them the one time passcode to consent to a transaction.

It is not hsbc! rang bank and told me that they had not attempted to ring. hsbc has a number to call during online banking. if they need you a letter is sent not persistent calls. phoned and shouted at them.hsbc does not ask you to give out details ti a person. if you ring right number your file is up after automated process. if yoy gave them details its a scam!

I called HSBC after receiving persistent calls from this number and they confirmed that it’s a scam.

Yes I was called yesterday the 30 Dec 2021 about this woman claiming to be co op back,and someone has used my account,be careful people.

Had 3 calls from this number now and only spoke to someone once.Asked for my date of birth and postcode.

Phone calls everyday from this number. When I have answered it's an automated message asking for payment of my overdraft, but not the right amount. I thought it seemed a bit strange.

This is all that is wrong with banking, who do you believe? I have several calls from this number, some say ok, some not ok? Bring back personal face to face services, who are we suppose to trust?
