Robot Julie Smith called me twice this afternoon too. The recording was very poor quality and played at an extremely low speed. I could pick up only a few words such as 'utmost urgency' 'take action against you..' 'attorney' and 'take care'. Creepy spam.

BROKEN ENGLISH SAID THEY ARE IRS I PLAYED THEIR GAME TOLD ME OFFICER OF THE COURT WILL ISSUE A WARRANT IN 45 MINUTES. HOLD ON WHILE I TALK TO THE COURT. I SAID I COULD PAY 900.00 AFTER HE MR SMITH ASKED HOW MUCH IS IN MY BANK ACCOUNT. HE WANTS MY BANKING INFORMATION I CALLED HIM A NO ENGLISH TALKING FOOL AND SOME OTHER STUFF AND HUNG UP....

Leaves message in a heavy accent that I am in some kind of violation and will be forced to appear before a magistrate or grand jury. Definitely a scam. Have blocked the number from further calls.

Same as above. Said I owed back taxes which I do not. My husband took the phone and asked why we have received nothing in writing and they hung up on him.

this caller pretends to be from the Dept of Treasury and has a warrant to collect a government debt. I was on to this right away. I told them I was calling THEM for a part in the sequel to Slumdog Millionaire. They hung up.

Steve Martin from the US Treasury office. Same format -- Indian speakers threatening legal action if we don't comply. Called them back to see how the game was played out. Didn't like that I asked them to identify their department head and location then promptly hung up on me. I translated version of a threatening voice mail message to our state attorney general's office. Hoping our AG will give them a scare.

Like the others above, I received a call, but from a man calling himself T. Martin. Eastern region (indian type) accent. Claiming that he was calling for the US Treasury regarding fees due and if I didn't return the call this would go to a grand jury.I should return the call so they can help me.I didn't answer nor will I return the call, but obviously sounded phony.

Looks like this number has changed from 'IRS Julie' in 2014 to emailing purchase requests. We received an email wanting to know if our business printed calendars, but with very little information. Only a gmail account and this phone number. We've had multiple requests from fishy credit card scammers in the past, who want something (banners, logos, websites, etc.) willing to pay more if we will just use a credit card to pay ourselves and someone else on their end.

Called my cellphone. Total BS. The IRS will not call you.

Received call from same person - Julie Smith from IRS. Threatening that they will take action against me - if i didn't return to their call.

Robo call claiming to be from the IRS. The message threatens action against me if I don't call back. This should be investigated, fined, prosecuted and shut down. It's ridiculous that this should operate so obviously as an illegal scam and not be held accountable.

E-mailed our business. Wanted to buy a headstone that he would pick up as he was to ship it overseas. Then wanted me to arrange shipping with his carrier where as I would give his shipping company my credit card information. After I said my price was for pick up only and offered to help him arrange shipping, he didn't answer back. Now 3 months later he has emailed my company again. I guess he was hoping to get someone else who would fall for his scam.

Claimed to be IRS agent and we need to call back URGENT

Received a call from a person who claimed to be calling for the US Treasury, and that we need to call back so they could help us. It was a 'second attempt' from them, and we may be brought before a grand jury for a criminal offense. Our taxes are up to date, and this is clearly a scam!!!

She says she is from Internal Revenue and that action will be taken against me and I can avoid this if I call 415-506-1284 right away.I read where the IRS will NEVER call you but will correspond with you via the USPS.Can't someone make these people stop hounding other people?

That's right. A man with a thick foreign accent with a crackly, poor connection calling himself Dean Martin has called twice in an hour. Same message as above. Can't understand some of it but threatens legal action and urges us to call back at 415-506-1287. Yeah. Right. I'll get right on that.

No Julie I am not calling you back and I really don't need 3 calls while I am at work. Who knew IRS ladies made robot voice house calls?
