I have told them multiple times that I am not the person they are looking for. I could tell it wasn't me due to the birthdate they gave me of the person they were looking for. This phone number is an Illinois# and they keep calling my 12yr old sons phone. I've never used his # and they won't give info nor remove his # from their call list. They wouldn't say who they were. So I researched it and it says it belongs to Portfolio Recovery. They're rude and keep breaking all the laws with their phone calls to a minor.

So far I have 23 different numbers from Portfolio . I was part of a Class Action Lawsuit against this company in which they lost. Durning this lawsuit, they continued to call me on my cell. They are relentless. REPORT THEM TO YOUR STATES CONSUMER AFFAIRS. If enough complaints are reported it is very possible they will be closed down.

This is yet again another, new number from Portfolio Recovery Associates. My premium caller ID on my phone IDs them as spam; but I have known this for the past 12 years. They have used a few different names over the past decade, all sounding very similar. They keep changing names because there are very, very large class action lawsuit being filed against them because they continue to attempt to claim debt Way Beyond their statute of limitations, and they asked for a very, very small, measly amount in order to have the settlement reported as paid on your credit report... When all they're actually doing is getting you to reopen your debt and therefore they are legally able to go after you for the entire original amount of the debt. A huge problem they have however is that because they are so old, they harass people at the phone numbers that they have on file for people who no longer own those phone numbers, and have not own that phone number for years Portfolio Recovery is chasing me for a woman who owned my phone number 11 years ago, and change the number because she had so many debts against her to this day I still receive about 8 to 12 phone calls a week, and another 15 to 20 to text messages a week. The text messages are much easier to block, but the phone calls are not, because they come from a different phone number each X and if I answer to speak to a live person, and tell them all of this information, along with all the information that they know their responsibility by law.
