Just got a call from this number a woman she said she was calling from the Navy FCU. I can't say whether it was a scam or not. Nowadays scammers are everywhere! :/

Legit number, a response/follow up on a loan. Sadly I was initially rude. So many Spam callers have culled out my inclination to answer an unknown call with respect.

You can request to call them back, so that you can verify they are legitimately NFCU and not a spoofed number. Unless you have never had a NFCU account, you can trust giving them your ss# and bd. These would already be associated with your phone number in their database and are essential to correctly id an account.

This call came in a week ago. My search revealed that this was to the Navy Federal Credit Union but when I called it back I got a message that this number WAS NOT IN SERVICE!!!

You do realize 'legit' numbers do get spoofed right? Legit for you doesn't mean legit for everyone else

This is a legitimate call out number for Navy Federal CU. I did not recognize so didn't answer but In my case, a rep from the Loan Dept making first contact. He left a message with this number plus a 5 digit extension to call back.

I am now tracking their calls and will report each and everyone of them.

I just got off the phone with them, it's Navy Federal. A lot of the telemarketers will have call out numbers that don't register when you look them up. The number the gentleman gave me to call him back isn't anywhere close to the number my ID said he was calling from. It's not a scam.

claim they're from Navy Fed Credit Union. I've never been affiliated with them. They wanted my name, address, ss #....hello, if I'm already a member, why did they want this type of information from me! Like I said...I've never been affiliated with them whatsoever!

First of all, if you already know who called you, why would you look up the number? Second of all, scammers spoof legitimate phone numbers all the time.

Attempt to compromise my account from this number. Female claiming to be with Navy Federal Credit Union stating that a transaction presented to my account with insufficient funds. Asked for SS# and birthdate.Be wary, never give this info on an incoming call. Always call your bank on a known good #.Report filed with NFCU. I wish people like this would get a real job or preferably just die.
