Asian male. Had my name and old address, said I was owed money by bank and cheque would be salient to me if I confirmed my new postcode. I said ‘no, I don’t know who you are.’ He hung up. Didn’t sound plausible from the start, very poor English speaker with heavy accent. Definitely a scam. Searched phone number which showed Rochdale telephone area.

Received unsolicited call by Indian male called 'Richard' re a claim and he was from a gov't department. I suggested this wasn't true and he verbally abusive to me 'f****** b******' and put put the phone down. Who is hunting these people down?

An Asian sounding male claimed to be from a government department and I was due a refund. I asked him what department and he gave a lengthy reply which didnt I didnt understand and make any sense. I asked him to delete our number from their list. He then hung up

I answered this call, a female spoke, I couldn't understand what she was saying, so I asked for someone else. A male then spoke to me stating he was from a government department. I had paid bank charges & his department were going to refund them. I told him that I didn't believe what he was saying. I put the phone down not wanting to hear anymore of his scam conversation.
