contacted me twice in the last 2 days. I didn't give any details but said I would call back. They gave me 2 numbers - 01422 861 599 and 0800 161 5175. I checked this website and know now its not legit. They claimed to be from The Halifax.

Left a message for me on my home phone at 10.15am and also left a message for me on my daughter's mobile number at 10.20m. Said they were from Halifax Bank Of Scotland and it was in relation to a PPI claim I made in 2013. Also gave me another number to call back 0142286599. I haven't called back. If they are legit, (which is highly unlikely) they would send a letter.

Had a message left on our answer machine from Bank of Scotland Recovery Team regarding a PPI claim made in 2013 and would we phone 08001615175 and give a reference number he left. This is a scam but I doubled checked with my bank who said it was definitely a scam. Do not phone this number.

This is realI had a call saying they wanted to review my ppi claim from 3 years ago. I didnt want to give details so they gave me the number above to call. I actually rang the number off the LLoyds bank website instead and they did a check and turned out legit. I now am waiting for a call back to see if I am owed more money. fingers crossed. I would suggest always checking via the banks own contact details though just to be safe.

This is a legitimate number. Having lodged a claim with through a PPI claims company, Lloyds wanted to go through the same set of questions with me to settle quickly. However I refused to do this as their tactic is to try and pick holes in your claim and therefore discredit your claim and end up paying you nothing.

To all of you who this was a scam. rang the 0800 1615175 - it is lloyds bank.. they have re-opened a complaint that i made back in 2005 and they're possibly going to refund my - they offered me a cheque - but it is lloyds bank ppi complaints line

I've just got an 'unknown' call which I don't answer, then a voicemail from (couldn't make out the start) Bank of Scotland about PPI. Even though the call itself was unknown, they left this number and also 01422 861599 for me to ring and gave me a reference number too..... didn't 'seem' dodgy to me, but after reading these I'm having doubts about ringing them back....
