Caller left a voice message which was very feint and spoken with a northern accent suggesting to call back on another 0800 number. The message could not be understood due to accent and the rapid rate of speech and my poor hearing. So ignored and checked here confirming my suspicion. Thanks

Yes it was Cash Converters definitely. I Recognised some bloke by their Voice who I've had previous conversations with over the phone from Cash Converters. He quoted my name and asked if it was me answering. It was Cash Converters.

On 28th dec rang my mobile.Claims to be Lloyd bank. Talked a bout a 3rd party Also said do we now need to ask you dome security checks. I said no chance they said it's urgent. We got home and have since received more emails and land line calls .I have reported it to my bank. Today they sent another email.

Phoned today - knew my husbands name - asked for his details said somebody was applying for a bank account in his name. My husband supplied no other details and she - a well spoken polite lady said she would put something in the post. No information was given out by my husband and she hung up. Yes it was Cash Converters. Some bloke asked Is that so and so? When I answered and knew my name, and then rang off. I definitely Recognised their voice from previous conversations I've had with Cash Converters over the phone, and this bloke knew my name.

This caller is a scam, was apparently a call from Lloyds offering free personal relationship managers, when asked what made me eligible evade the question. When asking for phone numbers to contact them back, this number or the number on the back of my card was offered as an answer. Which is not right.Please do not fall for this number and act.

I've received several voicemail messages on my mobile from this number over the past two weeks saying it's Lloyds bank and not to worry, they will call me back. I've never given out my mobile phone number as I have no mobile reception where I live so can't use a mobile. I don't have a Lloyds bank account or any associated group bank. From the reports here, why aren't service providers blocking it?

Had a professional sounding voicemail (calling me by name) claiming to be Lloyd’s bank calling about a PPI claim (I did have a claim) but when I called the number back I was suddenly talking to a guy in a call centre in the Philippines, who started asking for lots of personal information, so I got very suspicious that this was a scammer and ended the call without giving any info.

It is Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland combined number. The operator checks your ID first then puts you through to either Lloyds group, Halifax group or B of S. I checked this with my group.

Called legitimately about an account switch that had been rejected by them. This call was completely above board and I had a number of calls over the day from the same number and same person. They were able to provide enough information at the outset to prove they were who they said they were. She said that it was urgent re my mortgage but I have no mortgage - she should have known that and I said that to her. I put her onto my husband and at this point she hung up.
