it was the exact call as described by others here, but from a local number - Allenspark, CO, 720 571 3026I first missed the call, then I called back and 'Ashley' said I had registered for EDU.Match to look for job and education. She said 'somebody in my household' has registered on EDU.Match or on a 'related' website. We are actually looking for jobs, and it's possible that we registered with recruiting services so it was plausible. Then I asked what she wants, and why she was calling me, what she has to offer, and what she knows about us since she says we registered for something. Instead of an answer she asked me what our household income was. I once more asked her to explain who she is ('My name isvAshley!' - great) and who she works for and what the purpose of the call is, and since she could not answer I hung up and blocked the number.I googled 'EDU match' and found an organization that has a disclaimer 'we NEVER call our members' etc.I wonder, how would these scammers make money off of me if I trusted them and went ahead? Would I somehow end up giving them all my credit card info?
