Said from Best Buy Credit. Gave name of 'Paul' but said he never gives his last name. Wanted social security, address, etc. and I declined. A really bullshit story about things lost in the mail, etc. What a bunch of horse puckey. Don't give these people anything. Obvious scammer.

I don't believe its acceptable for them to ask 'can you pay today? ' and when I answer maybe for them to be like 'okay and how are you going to pay today by your bank or' I don't trust that one bit.

Very unwanted call asking for all personal questions.

Received multi calls from this number too. They didn't make up any excuse for the call, just said, we need to verify your account information. Then they started to ask all names of the signers and mother's maid name. If this is a real call from CITI, then CITI is putting all their clients in danger. Just call your account manager to verify, not call back that number 207-822-2207. 99.99% this is a scam call,

they claim they are fraud dept tried 4 times to speak to someone kept having bad connection and gave up they never helped in any way think it is a scam

I told the caller I don't have an account at Citibank. She said she wanted to verify the new credit card account I had applied for. I told her I hadn't and that there are at least 6 women in this metro area that share my first/last names. She couldn't verify my middle name or initial which I ALWAYS USE. Then she asked for my SSN. I hollered NO, that's a scam!! To which she said, no maam it isn't. I hung up on her.

A person named Gloria claimed to be from Best Buy wanting to authorize a new credit account.

Received a call today about a fraud charge I had with city back in December which has been taken care of back in January and my account balance is 0. now 2 months later I get this call about the same charge saying I have not replied to them, and I should call some 866 #, I chat with city from their website to confirm.

Call indicated Idaho. Wanted to confirm a new credit card request with Home Depot made over the Internet. I confirmed last four of my SSN and house street number before getting wise. They transferred me to their Identity Theft number but it didn't answer so she (Danny) gave me 866-668-5747 to call at a later date.

Caller asked for confidential information to update my account, which I refused to give. Citibank never behaves this way. Also, heard too many people in background on phones.

Fortunately, there was a bad connection and he suggested I call the 800 number. When I called Citibank, they had no record of calling me. This call is a SCAM for sure, the man did not get to ask any personal questions to verify my account. He was frustrated and hung up.

I am a late sleeper this number calls my home everyday at 8:30. Very annoying wakes me multiple times and I will not answer a call that I don't do business with.

2 calls within 5 minutes. Looked up phone number on Google and read numerous reports of suspicious questions being asked. Did not answer phone. August 4, 2020
