It's an international phone scam. DO NOT CALL IT BACK! They call and let it ring once, hoping that you'll call it back. If you do, you incur hundreds of dollars per minute in charges.

I got a call 3 times from the his number today. 2 of the calls were from “Somalia” and the other call was from “rocky mount USA”. but both registered to the same number... i’m also from Alberta, I see most of you are. Won’t answer or call back because I heard about the scams where they incur massive amounts of money in a short amount of time.

This # showed up twice on my cell. I did not answer it and 2 charges appeared on my Telus bill. On charge of as $3 for one minute & 2nd charge was for $30 for 30 mins. I’m from Alberta and again did not answer my phone when these numbers called.

I got the same call as well. Rule of thumb, if you do not recognize the area code at the very least, it is a scam call. If you call back, you are more than likely going to be dinged for a massive per-minute rate (heard reports of up to $100 per minute). Never call back a number that is not local.
