Asked if I know hoe to play the skin flute?

Caller says they're with Wells Fargo Bank & asks for my social security number. Wells Fargo says it is a scam. I cannot get them to stop calling usually 2-3 times per day EVERY day.

Calls 5-10 times per day. Doesn't leave a message. Called number and says it's Wells Fargo calling in an attempt to collect a debt.

I received a text message on my cell phone to call Wells Fargo at this number or if i want to go online to end alerts, i was to go to www.wf.com. I went to that site and it had few words and the logo for Wells Fargo wasn't right. Very suspiscious of this site. I disdn't open it.

This is not a scam it could be someone else is using your telephone number as they did mine and this is the reason they keep calling. All you have to do is tell them to stop calling. I work for Wells Fargo and this is our collection dept for overdraft on checking accounts. Call the regular customer service number and ask for the overdraft dept and you will get this number.

We don't bank with Well's Fargo and have only had this phone number (not to mention this residence) for 2 months. The number shows up on our TV, but our home phone has never worked right so we don't even have it connected. They've been calling since the first day we had our cable on.

Our office has been getting calls from this number for the past few days and there is no one on the line. One time somebody spoke up. The caller asked for the name of one of our employees. He didn't introduce himself until I asked him who he is and where is he from. Then that's when he said that he is Cody from Wells Fargo Bank. When I ask for his last name, he said they can't give out their last name. And then I asked for his number, he said that it's 1-877-647-8551. I called our local Wells Fargo branch and I was told that it could be a survey regarding their services. I am still suspicious about these calls because normally, survey callers would introduce themselves right at the start of the phone call.

I thought that there was an issue with my bank account. The person who answered immediately asked for my full social security number. Total scam, in my over 25 years of banking no one has ever asked for the full number

They called and hung up so I called back. They had some recordings that sounded real and then it transferred to an agent. First thing she ask me for was my social and account number. I straight hung up on her. Obviously fake, right? I called Wells Fargo and talked to customer service they said the overdraft department is real and transferred me to it. Who would've thought.

Wanted to know if I like it in the rear? I said it depends what your are delivering?

It's a scam. WF does not have this number. be aware. they are passing themselves for WF. it's not them. the jingle is different and they don't call you asking you your account number or social.

You might give the real Bill Me Later a call too &advise them of the scam. They probably know about it but it could help someone else not get scammed.

Wells Fargo Overdraft Dept.

Get calls from this SHADY Wells Fargo overdraft too looking for someone else which is suspicious because I've had this phone number for years an never received any Wells Fargo overdraft calls looking for this person. It's not Wells Fargo calling because I called a local Wells Fargo Bank and they said none of the phone numbers calling are for any of their banks or offices. The FTC just posted a scheme they shut down that fits these calls.

This is in fact Wells Fargo Overdraft department. If you call Wells Fargo customer service and then ask to be transferred to the Overdraft department they will give you this number. They don't like giving out to much information because they can get in trouble if they start telling whomever answers that you owe money.

Called claiming to be Bill Me Later, wanting my credit card number or checking account number to pay past due bill. I told them I would be handling my bill on the website like I always do, and they said they no longer accept online payments. I hung up and called the number back and they didn't identify which company they were. Very suspicious, sounds like a scam. Am reporting to FTC.

I have never dealt with Wells Fargo but they claimed I am overdrawn and they were coming after me. This is why I bank with a credit union and have for over 50 years!

We aren't trying to sell you anything. We are looking for the account holder we ask for to discuss banking matters. We have the number because that is the number the customer has given us as a contact number for them. We only disclose our first name and wells fargo bank because we are not legally allowed to discuss any kind of information with anyone with than the customer we are trying to get a hold of.

Yes, when you call us at that number we will ask for either your FULL social or your FULL acct number. Its the only way to pull up your acct so we can assist you.

Been having issues with Wells Fargo on several occasions. This one started out the same way social security number finding out a overdrawn balance that was outrageous. Day before I had went to bank and set up a overdraft because I thought I was over drawn..a 50.00 -150 ...I could imagine a mistake...997.00 ...lmfbo..... Jokes on..... Wells Hells Fargo here goes again.

I called the number and they wanted my account number or social security number. I asked why and they said they have an overdraft problem with my account. I told them I don't have a wells fargo account and she said, maybe we have the wrong name and hung up.Totally a scam. No question about it.
