Called and nobody answers called back said it was doss and hung up

Got two calls from this number and one message, which was in Spanish. Called back and the number is reported as disconnected. This is a scam. Other posts here state that it is from Social Services, but that is false. A State Agency would have a legitimate call back number.

A female recording spoke then hung up, claimed they were CITY OF LA DPSS. I doubt a Federal Agency work on Saturday's, that is when I got two calls from this individual. This has to be a scam of some sort, beware, do not give any personal information out to any person over the phone, who you do not know.

Just got a call from this same number this morning on Sept. 30 , 2016. There is no way this phone number is legit since I do not get any source of welfare/ social services. If you do happen to receive services from the state of California, PLEASE don't give out any of your personal information to these scammers!! Call the Dept. of Social Services to find out what phone number to look for when they place a legitimate call to you so you don't fall prey to a scam!!!

This was used in calling my home land-line. There were at least three calls today (12/1) & once on 11/30. I have caller ID on this line; so since not recognizing the number I looked it up on Google to find if this number was reputable. Seeing there was a complaint form, I'm hoping that you will be able to shut that line down.

I got a call 8/27/18 with no voicemail I'm guessing because my voicemail was full. So I tried calling back the number 3233075908 and it just says LOS ANGELES COUNTY department of social services and it hangs up

Continues to call but can't call back

I missed the phone call. And the recording message says Los Angeles County department of social social services, then the call got disconnected. And I called back but the same thing happened after the short recording the phone call was disconnected again so I figure it's probably a scam of some sort.

I keep getting a recorded call from LA DPSS telling me to call and then it hangs up!

Voice mail. They left a call back number, since I'm thinking is a government agency I gave them my card number for a $1.95 Walmart gift certificate of a $100. The next day my card start getting billed $1.95 over and over again and again, I finally have to report the fraud.

I missed a call from this number. Tryed to call back in 3 seconds, got a message:' I am sorry, we currently experiencing system problem and unable to process your call. Try later'.I did try all day yesterday and today, the same message.

i answered and they didn't say anything, it wasn't a robo call either (didn't hear that little pause click thing) so I reverse phone look up the number because it just showed the number. finding out it said DPSS

Has called a dozen times without ever leaving a voicemail

Robocall said it was from the LA County Department of Social Services, or DPSS. It claimed I have an important notice waiting for me online on their website, and directs me on how to check for notices. This robocall used perfect English, and sounded legit. However, I do not have any accounts with DPSS.

Scam for sure.
