Called for important message regarding change of account status. Knew my name and gave me my cell phone number to use as verification when I called back to the (800) number provided. The 541 area code was the first indication of a scam. Have received a total of five (5) calls with this scam. I've just hung up.

Went on vacation out of cellular range deep in the Southern Oregon wilderness for 10 days, forgot to pay my bill before leaving. Came home last night to texts and voice messages about past due bill. This number called repeatedly upon my return to civilization, but left no VM. Called it back from work phone this morning, got automated message: 'Welcome to Verizon Wireless -- Financial Services.' That's all I need to know, will pay bill after work.

Showed as Verizon on my caller ID and had a verizon msg. When I try to call the # back to see if it's legit, I just keep getting a busy signal. These scammers are really getting good at their tricks!!
