This is not a scam call you dumb f***s its for people that are in jail/prison. People were probably callling to let you know they were in jail or prison you mud brain harpes.

The number is from global tel link. They're for inmates in facilities trying to contact you. You can have your number blocked by calling them directly at 866-230-7761.

They called and didn't leave a message. I don't know anyone in TX or in jail anywhere. So they won't get any money from me for the call. Its a scam!

I have received several recording calls from this number claiming it is from a Maryland Correctional Facility and asking me to accept, or hang up to decline. I know no one in a correctional facility and cannot understand the caller's 'recorded name' which is inserted.How do you stop these? They come either very early in the am or very late in the pm.

When this number first showed up I didn't answer because I don't answer #'s I don't know. I then had a voicemail and it turned out to be a prepaid call from my�fianc� who is currently in a prison in Arizona through CDCR. It says if you no longer wish to receive calls from them press 8, so that should fix the problem if you don't have someone in the prison system.

Area code (713) comes from Houston, TX.However, phone calls with any area code may come from any state, any country now, as the cellular phone called from may actually call from anywhere in the world as long as a cellular radio tower exists next to them.The recording indicated a call from a Jail. I cut the call short and hung up before completely listening to all the information presented on/by the digital recording.

Someone u know is calling u from jail...its either a prepaided call from who ever is calling you charged to their account in jail or it's a call to set up and account to talk to that person... Listen to the recording.

This is NOT a scam, contrary to what people have been saying here. I just recieved a call from this number and it didn't connect right away so I hung up and looked up the number. A few minutes later it rang again and connected this time, and it was one of my friends who had just gotten a DUI and was calling me from the jail he was at. It wasn't a collect call.

Voice recording said Collect call from 'Randy' (in a human voice) then continued with computer voice from Odom Correctional Faciity. Then it hung it's self up.

I've been receiving calls from this number for a least 4 or 5 days, throughout the day, I do not know anyone from that area code, the calls are coming in as a prison call, then when you answer the phone they hang up.

I heard a woman talking in Spanish and saying something about a pre-paid debit call, and just after that she says that the call could not be accepted. Annoying. Just put the number as 'auto reject' in your phone.

Yes it is a Houston number, but it can be from any jail, someone I knew growing up called me from the county jail from this number and it wasn't a jail in Houston but it was him.

Said this is a free 1 minute call from 'andrew' an inmate from an indiana prison.. Cannot remember the name of the prison now. Same thing a TX number.. this is clearly a scam call.

Received 3 calls from this number in an hour. REcording states it is a 'prepaid debit call', allegedly from DuPage County Jail in Illinois. I hung up the first 2 times, and rejected the call the third time. We have no connection with DuPage county at all, and nobody we know is incarcerated.
