Number keeps calling and no one responds

Received 6 calls from this number within a 2 hour timeframe, plus one call the day before. Half the time it goes to voicemail for 1-3 seconds with no message, other half they hang up before voicemail kicks in. Have never answered once of these calls. Several months ago we received a series of similar calls from 970-408-1065. No idea who is calling but would like them to stop!

Called my home phone 5 times today when I was at work. Called a few times the other day as well. They wait for my answering machine to pick up (yes, I still have one), but then paused to hang up. This way it shows shows that I have a message waiting...jerks!

Call comes in but no one ever speaks. Tried calling back but just get VM. Already had three calls today

Has called my home several times but does not leave a message. I get these types of calls every day and it is beyond annoying. These calls interfere with my sense of serenity. It should be illegal for these types of unnecessary calls and they should be prosecuted both civilly and criminally. Almost makes me want to discontinue home telephone service.
