The guy said he was from Virgin Media, said there were problems with my broadband. When I said I wasn't with Virgin Media, he said you're not with Virgin, he repeatedly asked this question. I repeatedly told him no, he then asked my age,I told him that was nothing to do with him, he kept asking why not.When I said this isn't a legitimate call, I'm phoning the police. He hung up.

An Indian gentleman named 'James' called, claiming to be from Virgin media. It seems my router has been in contact with them, my internet speeds are very low! Is that right madam? James asks. No, I reply. Are you on your internet now? he asks. No, I reply. James hangs up.

Caller stated she was from Virgin and that we had red lights, green lights etc coming up. Realised it was a scam and off!!!! They get you to go on line give them your password then virtually hold you to ransome.

I received a call stating that it was from virgin media and my Internet speed was slowing down over the past few days. I said that was strange as I have been on holiday so there has been no Internet use. I also said that if I found a problem I would call virgin.... They hung up.I called virgin and they confirmed there is no record of any fault or anyone from virgin callingThis number is now confirmed as NOT being virgin media.

Called claiming to be from talk talk and wanted my details so they could improve my broadband connection speed (im not with talk talk). They had no idea who I was and were furious after 10 minutes of stringing them along that I knew they were lying because I wasn't even with talk talk!

This is a dangerous scam! They have all the correct Virgin Media customer details for me which they must have been obtained from Virgin, tested broadband speed, offered refund & scammed some money out of bank account
