I have just received a cold call from a person on the above number offering to make a PPI claim on my behalf i n respect of any loan that I might have taken out 10 years or 20 years ago. I guessed that this was part of a general scam where you may end up paying a lot of commission fees to someone and getting nothing from it - so I hung up.

Showed up as Stamford on caller display; an Indian sounding woman tried to tell me she was calling from the BBC (at least that's what it sounded like) and tried to launch into the how are you today mam speech - I hung up. Called back to see who answered and received a hello? this time a male Indian accented voice - no intro to say whom I'd reached. Hung up and have blocked number.

Left answer phone messege, could tell with background noise it's a call centre, she hummed a tune then hung up!!
