Within 30 seconds of placing an ad on GUMTREE

Called me three times in the space of five minutes on 16/11/2016. Claiming to be from the department of Transport regarding a minor trafic accident in the past 3 years. I'm sure if I entertained his phone call the foreign gentleman would have, at some point, asked for Credit Card details. We get these calls continuously into our office, on business mobile numbers and personal mobile numbers.

Called me regarding minor traffic accident on 14-15 this year. Wich month? Hahahahaha. f*** off retard.

f***ing a*** hole 2 calls within 5 minutes of posting an add on gumtree , how do they get your number before the ad even appears ? wont be using gumtree again

Rang and asked if I had a car accident said no but he kept on asking about a car accident told him no but would take no as a answer put phone down was very demanding and said he would ring me back blocked this number

Caller got number from Gumtree from car ad I posted. Indian saying he is from 'Road traffic Management' and I have had an accident.

Like other users...I posted a car sale ad (undamaged car) on Gumtree last eve...today a number of unsolicited calls and texts have been arriving!

yes, just posted add of car for sale on gumtree, and yes..... received 3 phone calls so far today!! I told the last caller that if they want further info to send a cheque to..... and surprise, surprise they hung up! LOL

They use the reg of your car from the advert, I am selling a car for my friend and they told me the reg of his car - said I had accident etc I have never owned the car!

department of transport ringing me to let me know they had my £3k waiting for my minor road traffic accident that either myself or a family member had. Nice of them to let me know really as i forgot all about it!

i always say i had a accident that i was drunk driving and hit a car can i get compensation they always hang up

His name was Peter from the road traffic department. He said have I had an accident, I asked him you tell me if I've a accident. He said Yus Yus Yus I said he was chatting sh**, then he was like have a bad day bye. RIP lol

Same story with me. Posted an add on gumtree to sell my car, and these a**holes have phoned me the last two days telling me i've been involved in a car accident. The Indian gentleman also claimed he was from the ''Department of Transport and said i may have won compensation on some non existent claim.
