Said was from a council that my local council doesn't come under. Trying to sell marketing space but sales blurb was so suspicious.. think is total scam!

SCAMMERS! I took out an advert with them in Hillingdon Council birth wallet. I paid £600 for 2 years advertising. They only supplied Council with a couple of hundred adverts and have now conveniently terminated their contract with the council blaming them for losing the rest of the adverts. They are liars, bullies and scammers and I have reported them to Trading Standards! Ignore them!

said they were from Ealing Council, then when I asked for the number to call back they said they were from LMG which is a marketing group

from Embassy Link on behalf of Hammersmith council...selling advertising.

Left a long, carefully worded message on my office voicemail, which could have been construed as coming from Brighton Borough Council but clearly wasn't. The guy was obviously reading from a script, inserting my name into the appropriate spaces every ten seconds. Nominally an attempt to flog advertising space in a bereavement services brochure (we had over five thousand bereavements last year!). I won't be following up this exciting opportunity, thanks.

Scam - advertiser pretending to be Norfolk County Council Bereavement Services. They're rude when you try to get them off the phone.

total rip off scam alert i paid a large sum of money for an advert that has never been produced now off to the small claims court ,my advise say away from this company

said they were from 'Luton Borough Council', later said 'on behalf of Luton B. C.They were offering me to advertise for 500£ for 2 years, asking for my email (which I did not provide).They could not answer how they got my number, saying I was one of 17 offering this service (though I know there are over 400 in the area). Were unable to give me straight away their phone-number, saying having only started today in the job. in the end adding they were from Lighthouse Media

Marketing company, unsolicited call trying to sell advertising.

Pretended to offer free marketing. Told him I wasn't interested. Hung up and he preceeded to ring back 5 times in a row!

Scam - trying to sell advertising space to bereavement counsellors on behalf of Cardiff Council Bereavement Services to be put in a booklet when people collect the death certificate. The BACP males counsellors aware of these scams constantly yet people always seem to fall for them!

Lighthouse Media Group or LMG LTD...whatever their name...these guys are a disgrace and utter scam. From bitter personal experience - do not have anything to do with them! You will lose money and gain nothing at all. Their fb and websites look v nice but hide a nasty and ruthless team. They destroyed our advertising for over a year by depriving us of much needed capital. Never got it back. Check the google reviews for Lighthouse Media group...

I was called on the 19th September 2016.The person was asking me to place an advertisement in the Nuneaton Register Office.He was told that I did not want to do this and why. He then called back twice withinminutes, he was loud & rude. I told him if he did not cease calling back I would report the matterto Oftel & Nuneaton Borough Council. It seems (from the number) the call is likely to have come from Lighthouse Publications Blackpool.

How do you know its a scam if you didn't apply for the advertising space? Would you call it a scam if someone offered you advertising space on a billboard? The Guide seems very helpful to grieving families and is a perfect for small businesses who want to get ahead of the big chains who take all the work.

LMG, LIGHTHOUSE MEDIA GROUP. DIRECTOR TARIQ POTTS. Based in Blackpool. They produce Bereavement Guides for councils and brochures for wedding venues - including some very high profile places such as Blenheim Palace. Their website is very professional as are the brochures. Unfortunately we trusted them and paid for an advert for a new brochure back in January. The brochure was pulled and we're still waiting on a refund. Do NOT trust this company!
