Text message claiming they are going to close my Lloyds account? I don't even have an account in that bank, pretty sure it's a scam looking for Lloyds customers

Scam sent me a text message and claimed to be from Lloyds bank about my account - I do noyt bnk with LLoyds

Just popped up as a txt message - requesting a call

I got the same letter from Lloyds bank - I looked on line and after reading these comments, thought it was a scam. i Nearly threw the letter away. i took the letter to the bank to find that I did have quite a bit of money in the account and promptly with drew it.If you are not sure - take the letter to the bank - what have you got to lose.

I received a letter from the Halifax? which has suspicious content i.e. An account is to be suspended due to non use for some time unless we hear from you on 0345 129 9789 by 7th November we will place restrictions on the account.This phone number is not listed on the Halifax web site.I have contacted Halifax and they could not confirm the number. So sadly, I have closed my account.

This number is printed on an official looking letter from Halifax which has suspicious content i.e. A savings account is to be suspended due to non use for some time (come on - it is a savings account!) unless we hear from you on 0345 129 9789.

I am very confused . I have a letter asking me to ring this number . Letter looks realistic from Lloyd’s . Is it a scam number or not .
