Again, called me claiming to be from Co op Bank. With my assistance, £5k was moved through my bank account. Thankfully Co op realised something fishy and blocked my account. Please don't be conned like I was!

This is telemarketing by a company called theVoice.co.uk on behalf of BT and is listed on BT's website as one of their contracted partners - still a bit annoying when they ring though. I pity people who have to do this job whether it is real or a scam.

Received a call pretending to be my bank, from the fraud department when I said I would contact the bank, he recited personal information and threatened me for money.

Called this morning but I was out. No message left. The number was unattainable - surprise!

Caller said he was ringing from BT as we had been looking on internet for new provider, which we had. He was not pushy at all but did ask me if I wanted to change today. When I declined he just accepted it and rang off. We do have a call minder on our phone so I only accepted the number once and will not if they ring back.

Very rude and aggressive man wanted to speak to my wife who is the BT account holder. I said speak to me, I pay the bills. No, he could not do that. I handed the phone to my wife who said speak to my husband he pays the bills and decides what we buy and handed the phone back to me. The idiot went ballistic so I hung up on him. I should really have complained direct to BT but I had wasted too much time by then.

Caller remained mute. I rang off. My wife took a call from a different number earlier in the day when the caller enquired about the internet and said he was from BT. My wife thought it was a probable scan and said there were no special problems. She then put the phone down.

Can somebody please do something to stop these scam callers? At this time with the escalation of the pandemic we all have enough else to worry about without receiving unsolicited scam calls. The people who run these scam caller companies must have no social conscience.

A man who said that he is from HSBC called. He said that there is a suspicious card transaction, before stopping that, I have to provide some details to prove that I am the account holder. I have to give him the last ten digits of my card. I said I can only give them the last four digits... Your browser does not support the audio element

I suspect this is a scammer number disguised as genuine HSBC number. A call from this number sounded exactly the same as some previous scam call which trick me into giving them the last ten digits of my credit card number and then fooled me to give them the one time passcode to consent to a transaction.

this is not BT, I've phoned them and they have confirmed it is not them. I've taken their advice and reported it to the police

Had a call from this number, said they were BT. I was suspicious so declined any info. On checking number I found it was from thevoice.co.uk one of six BT partners who are authorised by BT to contact BT customers on their behalf about new products etc. Only problem is someone could spoof this number leading you to think it is genuine!!

Had a call today from this number , saying it’s BT , and they can do a better deal , asked which one I was from and told them then he said oh ok and put phone down , he was polite and not pushy but my husband said I thought they not supposed to cold call and it got me thinking , he didn’t ring landline as got callblockers on but he rang my mobile so wondered where he got my number from , so looked the number up and saw it was possible scam

Called several times when I was out over the last week, but I managed to answer yesterday (17 Oct). English Northern accent male speaking rapidly claimed to be from BT Sheffield. He was calling ref the difficulty I had reported. I told him that I hadn't the faintest idea what he was talking about since I hadn't any difficulty and hadn't called them. When I suggested maybe my account had been hacked he politely ended the conversation and hung up.

This comes via the BT network, surely BT can block this at source

Googled the number and loads of other people have said that when they've answered it was someone claiming that they were from BT.

Bt scam, Told me mobile contract was up (which it is) would I like to update. Same female has been phoning on & off for a few months, She is very persistent & will be hoping I will let my guard down.
