This is an automated call from virgin media regarding engineers calling, to confirm a pre-made appointment and to check if you still require the engineer. The virgin media call centre won't recognise the number because they are based in India, but it is not a scam number, if they contact you incorrectly it is probably because the person they are supposed to be contacting has either given the wrong number or the number has been inputted incorrectly.

It's Virgin Media. It is legitimate because I moved last week and called them on the weekend, then got a text just now saying I can call them when I need to to connect. If you've got a text and you're not with Virgin Media like a few people are saying then it's likely someone with a similar phone number to you has entered theirs wrong

It is definitely Virgin actually. Straight after an engineer's visit, this number texts asking how the engineer did, and does a quick, short customer survey. It is definitely Virgin - it seems above are only glitches!

It doesn't mean it's legitimate just because coincidentally the text/call arrived after you'd placed an order. It could just be that some malware has accessed your phone (via an app for example) and it's picked up info from there. The number of people who haven't ordered anything from Virgin and are getting these texts. I'd say be wary and check with Virgin.

It gives the option to reply FIXED to cancel the call out. I assume if I do that or try to call them I'll be roped into some scam. Blocking the number.
