Have told SSE multiple times that I dont want a smart meter installed until the technology is updated. There is no point in having an old style smart meter which cant be ported between providers. However still getting these calls

Apparantly they sending another copy with gtee that provider will not be changed. I gave no info to providor on tel and will await copy letter and further contact... If any

This number keeps calling me for several months now at least twice a day! They are trying to bully me into accepting a smart meter, despite me having told them repeatedly I don't want one. They keep calling at all times of day or night. It's so bad that I have to keep my landline unplugged because they are calling all the time! This is psychological terror!

Phone message left on house phone. Indian accent, hard to understand him, lots of background noise. From a company called Providor, phoning on behalf of Scottish Power to arrange a smart meter installation. Called immediately on my mobile and left message. Assume legit but why make it sould like the many scam cold calls. No prior info from Scottish Power.

Missed call message on mobile. After putting the number in a search, then arriving here, I added it my screened calls list.I deliberately stopped using my landline due to the number of PFI-type calls. So far, this is the only number that has used my mobile for commercial purposes.I wish companies (e.g. Scottish Power), that required a phone contact, had to also seek permission to pass on numbers. Imagine if Amazon passed it on to their warehouse sellers so as to flog you something?

This number appears to come from smart meter company on behalf of Scottish Power, phone only rang three timesbefore I could get there, very annoying. No previous email or letters regarding this. Do not want meter if suppliers get changed its likely the meter will need changing.

Called claiming to be from Scottish Power (my energy supplier) regarding smart meter roll out (which I was expecting and wanting installed as i'm blind and would be easier). Came out installed it and unbeknownst to me had switched me over to Spark Energy! Contacted Spark, cancelled them and reverted back to Scottish Power, taking these idiots down under the equality act 2010.

These repeated calls are unsolicited and nuisance cold calling by a third party company. They have been given your details without prior consultation or permission; to talk you into/bully you into the first now obsolete version smart meters being installed. No one has to have this done until it is made law for smart meters to be installed in every household
