I got a text stating the same. IF they were a legit employer looking for candidates. How unprofessional is it to text with no info? SCAM! and it was thru the job website Geebo or something like that. Ugh frustrated since I am looking for a job!

I also received a text as stated by everyone else after applying for a job on Geebo. Very unprofessional to send a text. I will not be returning their call.

I applied to a 'Confidential' job in an email from Prime Staffing that led me to apply through Geebo. I've been getting an email confirming receipt of my application with others, but with Geebo I did not receive one. Then next day I received the TEXT saying to call 650-200-1484 about my application. Seriously?! Tried to look up on San Mateo, CA white pages & the company name was hidden 'due to privacy.' To me that just screams Scam and even if not, it's too unprofessional for me.

I got the same text message after applying for a job on geebo.com. Based upon the above messages...I didn't call . area code is CA. San FranciscoI think if they were professional they would send an email or call. I agree... My opinion. I will no longer apply for a job on geebo.com.

Got a text stating we would like to talk to you about the position you applied for on our job board. Call 650-200-1484.Since I've been applying all over the place and there is no indication of the company, or even the position, I don't know if it's legit or just spam

This is a number from geebo.com. They text you to call a '650' area code and then you have to stay on the phone with them for over 30 minutes. I've asked them to text a '800' number with no luck. I'm blocking all of these numbers from my phone. If they would like to talk to me regarding a job, they should call me, not text me!! My opinion. I will no longer apply for a job on geebo.com.

I received a text message from this NC number 919-336-1709 about a position I applied for on a job board. The message told me to call number 650-200-1484 in CA. I do not have texting on my telephone plan and have no intention of putting it on and I am not looking for a job in North Carolina or California. The person did not leave a Company name and I could not find one on line.They couldn't identify themselves, so I reported both numbers because their message was a waste of my time an money! .

I just applied on geebo as well. I just sent the 'STOP' message. Lets see if that works.

i received the same text.... and i was looking for a new job....they appear to be a pre-recruiter, which i believe is associated with PDN, Professional Diversity Network, a recruiter company...i think i applied thru a web site called geebo.com... and i think the job was actually at CVS.... they then sent me to a web site for a real application.... way too many layers...

Thank you all for the feedback. I too have just received a text from 'PDN Jobs' asking me to call 650-200-1484 about a position I applied for. No other details. I will not be calling back. It's a shame since I am looking for a job.

I applied for a job on a site called GEEBO (which now, I think is a fake job post site) then received a text asking me to call this number to talk about a possible job position. After further research, I found the company is called NOBLE VOICE. Their purpose is to get people to call in thinking they are calling about a job when they are actually attempting to gather information to determine their eligibility for schooling (ex. Ged/high school, diploma, currently in college, defaulted student loans, etc). In order to then transfer you to a third party education placement company. they continue to lead you believe its for employment and never share their true intentions. If the caller has any issues preventing them from pursuing higher education, they hang up on you. They in no way want to help their customers find employment. Very deceptive and misleading. Spread the word

I got the exact same message only I applied for a job on Beyond.com. Blocking this number.

Just got the text and based on previous statements I will not be returning the call.
