NUMBER COMES ON MY CELL PHONE AT LEAST TWICE A DAY, BUT I DO NOT ANSWER, NEVER LEAVES A MESSAGE..

They were very up front with me. Also, they were courteous and cooperative. They, unfortunately represent a company that can not seem to get it's information straight. But yes it is Fed Check, out of Oklahoma. It is not only checks, but debt that are trying to collect.

Some 'Credit' company asking for someone I have never heard of - actually got a human when answered this time - notified them they were violating Federal No-call list and had been reported.

this number 1-800-979-8917 is for Fed-Check. they are the collection company for SCHWANS if your check is returned or if credit card payment is returned. They don't leave a message but if you tell them you don't want to be contacted by phone and to remove your number, they will.

NOt a credit company. Its collections. You owe money or someone has stolen your checks or info and is committing fraud against your name. People purposely put wrong numbers on their checks to avoid collections and commit fraud. It might be a wrong number. Better to answer and figure it out. If it does belong to you and you ignore it you could get sent to the DA and you could have a warrant put out on your name. What are you all afraid of? deadbeats.

These people call consistently. They do not give reason, reference, and tell me to call back. I get a computer telling me to hold, when I have called back. They communicate nothing with the people who answer the phone, when they call. They just leave a number. THis is annoying. I wish it would stop.

calls 3 times a day. leaves no message. if i answer, he asks for my wife, when i ask if i can take a message, he say he will call back then hangs up.

yes it's a collection company called fed checks....becareful what information you give them.

You are the 4rth or 5th person that has said that this is a credit company. This is not a credit company. I repeat this is not a credit company!! This is a COLLECTION AGENCY. they can ruin your credit with the credit bureau real easy. If they are letting everyone to believe that they are a credit company then sue thier socks off. they have nothing to do with being a credit company other than doing collections which is something totally different. bobcat51

I get the number calling me once or twice a day. i never answer, and they leave a message to return the call to another number. The message says 'fed Checks' or 'bad checks'. I have never written a bad check. And i dont write checks. ever since the invention of check cards and automatic withdrawal from bank accounts. I do believe the other bloggers that its a collection agency. The only people that are trying to collect a debit from me (that i know of) is SALLY MAY because i co-signed a loan. and cant repay someone elses loan when im unemployed.

Asked for someone named jayebird what [***] Told them no one lived here by that name and he said he would call back later.Told him I was on the do not call list and he said who cares.I said the states attorneys office will when I report you as soon as you hang up.

Got my first call from them. Answered the phone, . fast recording.. too fast, .. something about calling them as soon as possible. MIGHT have said 'fed checks' .. not sure. I hit redial and got a recording 'Fed Checks Recovery' and their office is closed (Saturday) and to leave my name, phone number, and 'account number'. I hung up.I have no unpaid debts. I guess I am in for a long haul of problems .. seems like it.

If that was what they told you they was a credit company or led you to believe that they was then that is misrereping to you. That is against the law. They are a collection agency that will go to any means available to collect a debt no matter how big or small. They contract across the nation to companies, any company, to collect a debt. Thier practices are on the extreme edge of being illegal if not outright illegal. Contact you a consumer rights lawyer and follow his instructions and you can get your debt settled real easy. Called my cell, left no message. Called the 800 # from my work phone, as it comes up as unavailable on caller ID. Answered as 'FED-CHEK', looking for Cynthisa McAllister. I advised that the number they dialed had never belonged to anyone by that name. They said sorry and hung up quickly.

This is a extremely aggressive collection agency. I got 1 to 2 calls a day for 10 to 12 weeks straight for a debt that wasn't even 60 days old when the calls started. The more they called the more determined I be came that the debt was not going to get paid, which was only $168.00. I kept telling them that I was going to sue if they continued the harrassment. Well I did and I just recieved my settlement for $1500.00 plus they paid my debt off & had to pay all the lawyer fees as well. Igot all this done in a very short time fter I got my lawyer as they agreed to settle out of court. They know that they was completely in the wrong and ha no case to go to court with. I got my lawyer from the internet and he took it with no consultation fees of any kind. if you all will get you a lawyer and go after these people maybe they will stop thie illegal harrassment practices all together. go after these people as they are totally and completely [***] in thier collections. good luck eveyone. bobcat51
