Got a call but they can't access my account the ask alot of questions about my profile and my social security number +18443206431

Apparantly this is not a scam. It is the Scotiabank collection office calling because you have an outstanding credit card payment (over 30 days). Yes, it was a pain when calling the number they gave me. I ended up calling the number on the back of my card and I was able to sort it all out. I also told them their system is useless if they are trying to contact people with all the scams going on, no-one believes any of the calls they get now a days.

Freaked out because I had most spoken with Scotiabank that day, and did have outstanding matters, however just did not seen right and let message play through without interacting. I called Scotiabank and they confirmed this is not one of their numbers. This is 100% scam!!

this number asked me to key in my date of birth to confirm my identity.

When I got a call from this number, I would not give my correct birthday, so it put me through to an actual rep. He couldn't tell me anything about what the call was about it until I confirmed my identity. I told him I would call back to Scotiabank myself and he even said no problem, they will put you through to us. Scotiabank confirmed it's a SCAM.

Was called by automated system when customer service answered I asked why I was contacted and was told I would need to supply phone number and birthdate. Directed to contact scotia.com for confirmation of call being legit. Hung up.

Same exact sitution with me. I can't believe theyre still doing this if it is indeed a scam. I don't owe Scotiabank anything so it must be.
