yeah I got the same text at 6:38. obviously a ton of people did becuase I have been on hold with he real OCCU for like a half an hour. And I too don't have an account there. DONT CALL THE NUMBER BACK! I hate scammers. NEVER GIVE OUT ACCOUNT INFO OVER THE PHONE!

If you did respond to the message, please contact Card Services to block your debit card immediately at 800.543.5073. Or if you are hesitant about calling the number I provided for you, then call the customer service number on the back of your card ASAP. - I also received this bogus text message.

got a text message saying that my account at Oregon Community credit union was closed due to unusual activity. Said to call this number. I don't have an account at Oregon community credit. I believe it to be bogus. Can't get Oregon Community credit union website to come up either.

I feel so stupid, I was truly worried that maybe my account again was being accessed and since I just recently closed my account and put alert on it i thought it was legit, I provided the information, is their anything I can do? Is it too late? I don't want anyone taking my hard earn savings, can anyone help or does anyone have any feedback as to how to stop this. It is the weekend so I am hoping that they will not be able to do anything.

Just got the same message. Your oregon community account is closed due to unusual activity. My husband and I both have accounts at OCC and I checked it out online. This is bogus. It's a scam.

Both my wife and I received this on our phones this morning as well. Total crap. We do not nor have ever had an account with OCCU.

Received the same text message this morning. A reverse directory search of the number shows it's a residential land line out of Winter Haven, FL. Obviously a phishing scam.

Wow. I just got the same text this morning. I called the number and it is asking for a cc #, so that is my first clue that it is bogus. Thing is, though, I just applied for an OCCU account and was turned down, so that was my other clue. Did anyone else apply or recently get an account? Was there a security breach?

Oregon Community Credit Union is a real (small) company in Oregon, but they've been targeted by LOTS of phishing lately. If you go to their website (https://www.oregoncommunitycu.org), their contact page has only ONE e-mail address, and that's to send phishing information to them to add to their investigation.If you don't want to just cut & paste, go ahead and google them. But definitely drop them an e-mail about the text! I'm sick and tired of phish, and the least we can do is give those idiots indigestion.

The text says Oregon Community Credit Union but the number 863-229-8354 is a Flordia number(Hello that dont make sence). And I also dont have an account with them. And the text came in around 7:30a.m. pacific time.

I too received this text message at 6:36AM. I don't have an account with them, nor have I ever. I tried calling back to talk to someone, knowing that this was a scam, but of course you can't reach an actual person.

I got the exact message as GP above at 6:30 AM this morning ... We will call Oregon Community CU today to let them know.
