Claimed to be 5/3 bank. very rude. Insisting that I was overdue with a payment...which I wasn't. Told me I owed a huge sum of a payment which I don't and insisted that I do better with paying my bills and being responsible enough to allow an extra day or two to mail my payment in.

My 80 yr old neighbor's grandson bought a truck and it was financed thru this outfit. When he defaulted on the note, they started harrassing her for the payments. They called her 15-18 times a day, every day. I typed a 'cease and desist' letter for her to send to the company to stop the phone calls. The grandson wanted to voluntarily turn in the vehicle, he told them they could pick it up at her house. He works for a service company and travels from assignment ot assignment. She was terrified to face these people so I told her to have them call me to meet them when they picked it up. Which I did, I met the repo people at 9:30 at night when she was asleep. NOW THEY ARE CALLING ME FOR MONEY, DEMANDING INFORMATION, DEMANDING I DO THIS AND THAT, and threatening me.

I got a call from this place. I just got a new line through Verizon and for some reason this number has called me for the past 3 days straight. When I call the number back the automated machine says its fifth-third bank. Apparently whoever had this number before me must have had fifth-third as their bank because I know for a fact there is no fifth-third in my area. I just wish I knew how to get them to stop calling every day.

I received a phone call at 10am on a Sunday morning, saying they were calling me about my credit card account. After asking me to verify my address and workplace and phone number, (and asking for the number of my workplace, which I found ridiculous), the woman proceeded to inform me that I had a payment of $106 that was 51 days overdue. I was just at the bank last week, I'm pretty sure that they would have told me that when I asked them 'Does everything look good?' I told her I would make a payment this evening online on my credit card, but she wanted to do it over the phone. I told her absolutely not, so she asked me if it would be a 'branch payment' and I told her yes. Then she hung up.

This is 5th 3rd bank customer service collection department from overseas. This bank is a crock at trying to be proactive on your account. When you try to call in advance to tell them you may be a couple of days late (past the due date, not the grace period), they say that can't talk to you until it is already past the due date and in collections. The branch managers and everybody else says this is the case with their loan department. They called us early Sunday morning at 8:00 2 months straight when we were 2 days past the due date. And of course trying to talk to someone who cant understand English is a crock also. Let's get back to AMERICA!!!!!

They have called me three times in 2 days and ask for some one named seltser. I have not heard of that person before. I tell them I don't know who they are calling and she says I will remove the number from the call list.

It sounded like there was a party going on in the background. The rep was asking for personal account information that I feel I did not need to give, so I hung up immediately. I assume the service center was overseas. I hope that the representatives from this department are not attempting to steal personal information. No matter what, the service center is very unprofessional.

This is the second of three calls from them in one day, this one came 20 minutes after the first one.

They left a message on my cell phone about recent activity on my account. I don't have an account with them and have never heard of them before today. Like Ape, I'm just going to block the call.

I just called the number their message told me to call 800-421-9543 It appears to be customer service at Fifth Third Bank which is an internet bank - I told the rep I'd never heard of them and that I was receiving harassing phone calls. She documented this info and told me she was removing my number from the call list. She seemed to be confused as well - so it sounds like someone is pulling a scam on the Bank. Let's see what happens now.

They did this a few years ago, and now again. I called the moronic institution several times and all they want to do is ask you for personal information. I said, 'you being a bank, this is a good idea? Give personal information to some riff-raff idiots who claim to be a bank but will not mail via US Mail, nor give a physical address?' No location, no real contact info other than a 'department'. Since they do not stop calling, I explicitly tell them I do not wish to be recorded, and then cuss as much as possible and say anything that can not be used against you in any court of this land. Their wish to violate my right to privacy, to hinder and impede my pursuit of happiness with their continual barrage of harassing and meaningless calls, is an act of hostility. I take these actions to mean they choose to war with me, a private citizen of one man, under attack of an entity of thousands of men and women. This is my perception of the antics of this bank and all of it's operatives. I consider all of them to be my enemy and will treat them all as such. They are a terrorist organization, attacking innocent people and should be considered dangerous. Defend yourself and your rights from these enemies at all costs, by any means necessary. Hopefully, many will see that we are not one, but many, and will quash our enemy and his ill will towards the innocents.

Received 10 calls from this number today. They never identifiy themselves...

I get calls 3-5 times a day, which when I answer, is just a machine telling me that there has been recent activity in my account at 5th 3rd bank, and that I need to call a number, or go to the website www.53.com.I do not, nor never had an account at this bank- I actually never heard of this bank before in my life.It's very annoying, and I'm just going to block the call.

I received three calls from this number and no message was left. After finding out that it was Fifth Third Bank, where my car loan is through, I returned the call. They said that I was behind on my payments, which come out automatically! These f'ing idiots misapplied my payments. I still haven't gotten it resolved after being transferred four times and then hung up on. Great way to run a business, the old head-up-the-[***] trick.

They have been calling me on Sunday, the fair debtcredit protective act states that they can not call on Sundays. I guess all of the rules have been thrown out the window, because no government agengy is going to stop them because the government agencies do not have the money to stop them.The world is about to change, banks are making there own rules and you can not stop them.

ive been getting calls multiple times per day from a restricted number (so i can't call back). everytime i answer, they just hang up. so this time they left a number 866-450-0037, same thing; called but hung up as soon as i answer

Yeah, they called me and asked for my personal info. I said 'you called me, why dont you tell me yours?' That shut them up.

This is Fifth Third Bank. They start calling after the 5th of the month 3-5 times per day to remind you to pay our bill, very harrassing, usually a caller from India. A computer dials the number and then puts you on hold when you answer, waiting for an operator to talk to you. A terrible system. They call day and night 7 days a week and I have never missed a payment in 10 years. They shoudl be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks for the info! We've been getting calls from them, sometimes up to 6 a day. Even got one on my cell phone (Verizon) over the past weekend. Now I know to pick it up and find out what's going on!

These idiots aren't even able to access your account to get current information. My payments are made on time! I've called the branch office in my area & the main office in Cinci but they say there is no way to change the collection department from calling!!! The inmates are running the asylum as usual.
