Some one from this number keeps calling at least once a day for several days. I have not picked up as I am getting lots of scam calls ( which I have answered and wish I hadn't). Keeping list now of numbers not to answer. And if the number above is Elec company they can email me. They have never phoned before.

Unsolicited call, Indian accent, from a call centre promoting a scam as if from SSE ( utility company) .

This is Scottish and Southern Energy. It is a genuine number but it seems some scammers have been using the spoofing method to make people believe they are calling them from this number. Be careful.

This number belongs to Scottish and Southern Energy plc. The previous comment here claimed that this was a scammer but it didn't seem so to me. Either way, be careful and always double check numbers, including this one.

This is an official SSE phone number. Safe to call.

Just had a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming to be a SSE employee asking for my permission for meter reading. I told him no because this kind of request is always sent by letter or mail so it was very strange to me. He told me that they are doing it over the phone now because of this crysis but that just doesn't make sense. I believe this is a scam that's goal is to steal your personal information.
